What made you say yes to playing with us? Um, today we’re in Barcelona, Spain, a city known for its late nights, its beaches, and Lo Messi. We’re here on a golf trip, but instead of playing by ourselves, we want to meet some real locals to find out what golf in Spain is really like. So, today we’re going to ask some complete strangers to join us for a round. So, here’s the challenge. By tomorrow morning, we each need to find a complete stranger to join us for a 2v2 five-hole golf match. Team Nick versus team Tim. If we can’t convince anyone by tomorrow morning, there’s no video, no match, and this entire golf trip to Spain is basically a ride-off. And to make things more interesting, the stranger on the winning team is going to win a $100 Made voucher. Here’s the plan. Step one, head into the city to convince strangers. Do you guys play golf by any chance? Step two, pray they actually show up tomorrow. That’s like just jeopardized the entire video. Step three, play a five-hole match. Winner takes all. We want to show that no matter where you’re from, no matter how good at golf you are, it can bring you together and you can turn a total stranger into a good friend after the round. We’ve now come to a place called Smile Golf in Barcelona. We’ve been too generalized. There’s too many people who think we’re very weird caring around golf clubs. So, we’re going to go to a golf venue and see if we can find more people there. Yeah. Well, I guess this is the best shot we have considering we’ve got we haven’t even come close to it yet. Not paid or anything, but if you’re in Barcelona and you want to hit some balls, smile golf. Why Why don’t I mean, why don’t you just I mean, I know you like quite strict on the Spanish guy, but in terms of looks, I mean, you can’t get you can’t get much closer. He’s been here for 14 years. I don’t know about you guys, but if I live in a country for 14 years, I consider myself like from that country. Yeah. Actually, what do you guys think? Should we just Should we Should we go ask Rob? Okay, here here’s the thing. We’re have to find one guy and one girl. If we find Rob, some people argue potentially not Spanish, which means that at least one person has to be Spanish, which means we have to find a Spanish girl, which like plays golf. Not only finding a girl that plays golf, but finding a girl that plays golf in Spain is a double double horn. Hi, it was so much fun meeting you. Uh, do you have any more info about tomorrow? How long will it be? How long will it take? ETC since my friends are only here for the weekend. Smiley face. Tim finally picked up the courage to reply and then this happened. Oh, wait. I just She just replied. We asked if they’re free for a drink and they said, “Yes, we are. We’re at Carabella Cafe. Come join us.” And then response to the message about tomorrow. She said, “And this sounds good. Let us know more when you guys know.” Sounds good. So, I think we we’re we’re in. We just got a text. Ma and Rob both say yes to tomorrow, which is a huge win. And it’s honestly, it’s like an early night. It’s an early night. We can actually go to bed. They said that they were so keen and that they’re spontaneous and ready to kind of try new things and then next minute, you know, they don’t show up. That’s crazy. Did a ring once and she hung up. Um, and then the other side of it is there’s also loads of resort golf. You know, if you like go to the south of Spain, it’s all sort of like super um like tourist driven and like resort driven. So, it’s kind of it’s not as much of like a mainstream culture as it is in the U. I’ve got golf 12 months a year here. The worst time of the year to play is August when it’s arguably too hot.
