In Episode 4 of From The Bunker, we’re breaking down one of the craziest weeks in golf — from our own November rounds in Kentucky to a Bermuda Championship that felt more like a survival test.

We kick things off with our weekend golf adventures: Golf4Game got back out at C-Dub (Crosswinds Golf Club) and somehow put together a 97 in cold November weather, while Deez2424 had a solid day at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek. November golf just hits different.

Then we dive into the Bermuda Championship, where the wind was so insane that a 5-iron from 133 yards still couldn’t reach the green… and the guy STILL won. Adam Schenk grabbed his first PGA Tour victory, and we break down how he pulled it off in those conditions.

Across the world, the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai gave us Rory in a playoff, Matt Fitzpatrick stealing the win, and plenty to talk about heading into next season.

And yes… Fairway Jesus is back. Tommy Fleetwood is playing some of the most consistent golf out there, and we’re starting to believe he might actually be HIM.

We wrap up with our thoughts on the Internet invitational finale and why that kind of content is huge for golf’s younger audience.

If you’re into golf talk, good vibes, and weekly breakdowns from two guys who love the game — you’re in the right place. Thanks for listening, and don’t forget to like and subscribe!

Welcome to the fourth episode of From the Bunker Podcast. This is golfer game and I’m here with my favorite golf buddy whose camera’s not working. This is Old D’s 2424 and uh we’re bringing you our fourth episode, the first episode with a little bit of video um and a little bit of black stream, but we’re here. We’re moving up new microphones. Hopefully the the quality is great for you guys this time. De’s, how’s the week been? We’ve been together a little bit today, but how has the week been? How’s the weekend? What do you got to tell us? What do you got to say, buddy? Can you hear me? All right, buddy. Mhm. Well, one, you look like a Teletubby right now with them. Thank you. You look like the red Teletubby. But no, good weekend. Uh you and I both got quite a bit of golf in. Um so whenever we get a lot of golf in in November, it’s always a good weekend. Without a doubt. Agree. I think you think you When did we play first together? Friday. So yeah, Friday at went to Cub, played at Cub Friday, the home of Crosswinds Golf Club. If y’all don’t know what C-Dub is, that’s what it is. It’s a little MUN here in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It is actually a place that Josh gets to work at a little bit, but went over there, had a uh pretty good round. I mean, nothing bad. First time I’d swung since last week, so wasn’t bad at all. I enjoyed it. Uh, you shot pretty decent. I do believe. I shot a 97. I believe it was okay. Well, you know, it does happen. Um, 97 is still pretty good for you, though. Uh, not going to say it’s bad. Anytime you break a hund hundo, it’s got to be a pretty good week. Then I got to play a little bit on Saturday. I caught little man on the way back from football. Me and him went and played played with buddy of yours named Joel over at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek that is in Franklin, Tennessee or Franklin, Kentucky. Um, but I caught that. Um, played with a guy named Joel. Had a pretty good day. Had a actually had a really good day on the course, not going to lie. Could have made some putts to make a pretty good number there, but I don’t didn’t miss really a ton of fairways. The ones I did miss were pretty big swings, just to be honest. You know, and you know that course as well as I do. You You worked there. You played there a lot. And I’m trying to think. We’re going one, two, three, four. Dude, bomb on four. Bomb. I just, you know how that fairway goes left to right. I caught it at about the middle of the fairway and uh it rolled all the way down for a miss fairway. But you can’t ever be mad when you roll one down there. Pretty good there. But and then me and you got a little Sunday twilight round in which was really really good. We’re going to start doing more of those together. Yep. Yep. Sunday was more of a uh well quickly turned into a practice day. Um, not that it necessarily was that when we attempted it, but quickly quickly turned into that. Uh, it was a terrible day day for me, so I just turned it into a pure work on some [ __ ] day. Um, and let’s be honest, it’s out of season. You can’t post numbers anyway. We got nine in for sure with a number. Yeah. And then we were able to go work on some [ __ ] Did you ever actually add up what I shot? I did. And you don’t want to know what it is. All right, that’s great news. Moving on. Um, you want to know? I’ll tell you. No, I do not. Definitely not on the podcast. I’ve got the ducky hat on. So, Ducky hats on. Yeah. Shout out to our boy Flanny. Uh, we just got done having a little dinner. Man’s from Wisconsin. We uh met him through Tik Tok. Came down here for the Small Creator Classic back in August. He was in Florida uh this weekend playing in golf tournament and stopped uh in Ballinger for the night. So we met him at the Drake Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Um him and his wife. He brought me and D some goodies, some of uh his four golf brand stuff. Um so big shout out to him. Uh fun time tonight. Um, speaking of golf and putting up some numbers, uh, the Bermuda Championship was this past weekend and some numbers were laid. Oh, they some numbers were laid, especially the first two days. It wasn’t my COA numbers where they burnt the grass off the course. They were so low. Correct. But still some good numbers. Crazy stuff happened. We talked a little bit about it yesterday on Tik Tok live last night. Y there was a shot by a touring pro and we know what that means. Tour pro. This guy’s good. He’s pass the stick. He’s a hammer. 133 yards out. What do you swing? What do you swing on 133 yard shot? Let’s just see what your club is, Josh. Uh, typical shot for me, 133 yards. Um, if it’s playing straight, my number is 133, I’m hitting a nine iron. So Josh hitting a nine. I’m normally probably hitting a wedge there. If not, I’m hitting a choke down nine. And if it’s super windy or something like that, you will watch me go pull eight out of the bag because I can control that club a little bit better than most. But this dude hits a five iron from 133 yards out and doesn’t hit the green. Now granted, it was a little right. It was like front right, but still don’t hit the green. What in the world, man? That tells you how bad the wind was blowing at that place. That’s crazy. Yeah, that’s absolutely insane. Um, absolutely nuts. Um, just to run through real quick, uh, Adam, how do you say this last name? neck, which is the guy that hit a 133 yard five iron. He shot 12 under uh for the tournament. Um winning a million $80,000. Nice little weekend for some fall golf. Um Chandler Phillips uh finished second uh with 11 under. Alex uh Smallley uh tied for third, leading away at 10 under. Um, Adam Hadwin had a great first two days and then winded up finished tied for 11th with a 71 and a 75 to wrap up the tournament after a 65 and a 66. So, a big swing there. Um, but a great fall golf tournament. I mean, to pay a million to the winner fall actually the guy’s first PGA Tour win these. Shout out to Schneck. Big first win. Anytime you get a win on tour, it’s huge. So, we always give a shout out to first win guys. Without a doubt. Throw some balloons up. Little applause. Golf clap. Absolutely. Um, congratulations to him. Absolutely. Um, moving on to the other side of the pond, the DP World Tour. Okay. Are we going to if we’re going to the other side of the pond, we can’t go over there without at least mentioning the greatest head of hair on that side of the pond. Well, we’re going to talk about him. Um, he finished he finished third. So the Jesus DP Yes, the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai was also this weekend and it came down to a playoff ladies and gentlemen and one of the people in this playoff you’re going to know very well his name is Roy Moy and you will learn fastly here on from the bunker there is one gentleman of this panel one man on this panel that cannot stand Rory Maloy And that would be I um he goes down in a playoff versus um Fitzy Max Fitzpatrick to lose the DP tour championship with Tommy Fleetwood as normal being right there in the mix but coming up one inch short. Um one stroke short minus 17 for Tommy. Matt and Roy Rory finished minus 18 and Fitz, he takes it in the playoff. Thoughts on this, D? Well, first off, Josh is uh he he loves Rory, the guys. He has posters of this dude all over his house. Um he he acts like he does not like him. I just want y’all to know this is a facade. I’m calling him out. It’s a facade. He’s a huge fan. He has Can’t you see all of his [ __ ] right here? He has a St. Bernard driver head cover just like Rory. But no, before we get into, you know, that’s a that’s a hell of a top three. Let’s just be honest. I mean, that’s an incredible top three. And I didn’t even mention didn’t even mention their D’s. There was actually a three-way tie for uh second. I mean, third, I’m sorry. uh because of the playoff, but um not only was uh Fairway Jesus in their Tommy Fleetwood, but also uh your wife’s boyfriend, Pretty Boy Sweet. Pretty boy sweet old Victor Oberg. Uh with that being said, no, we’re talking about Lu or Louvic Luic Oberg. My bad. Victor Havlin. Uh, but with that being said here, just to let y’all know, I want to bring up it’s nice to see Fitzy win. That’s a hell of a top four. That’s four really good golfers. Fitzy hadn’t had the best of a year. Played pretty good at the RDER Cup, though. So, kind of seen a trend coming, you know. Hey, he’s starting to play a little bit of good golf. Don’t know if I’d have to do some info on him. I don’t think he played really good at the RDER Cup. He did. And I don’t think he’s going through swing changes. I just think it’s been one of them years. But I want to give a shout out to my man Tommy Fleet. I call him Fairway Jesus. The reason is there a dude in the world that you can say from let’s go July till right now playing better golf than that guy. I would say no. The man’s got more second place finishes than uh all Cal Norton Jr. and Tallaladega Nights. I mean, slingshot engaged a couple times. Um, but he never I mean, it it’s I made the joke uh at points in the season this year saying like I think he goes up to some of these guys like, “Hey buddy, you think I could get a win?” And they’re like, “But if you win, we can’t slingshot. We that means I can’t win.” You know, think you could just let me win one time? I’m thinking about that scene from Tallaladega Nights. Well, to me it’s not only just that. It’s like when you watch this dude from July on. It’s not just like it’s not like he’s going out there and hitting it to the left of the green, hitting it to the safe spot. His iron shots, his approach shots are going like over the top of the [ __ ] flag, man. And it’s not just one. Yeah. It’s not one or two around. It’s every It’s legit every [ __ ] Yeah, it’s every shot. What? I just I don’t know of a guy playing better than he is right now. His ball striking is unreal. We do know he’s going to play in the uh Skins game. We do know that. I’m sure he’ll be on TGL and then he’s g I would guess he’s going to start start playing pretty hard in January to try to keep this train rolling. So, we made some picks a couple weeks ago. Tommy’s going to be my master’s pick. I’m I’m changing it. It is fairway Jesus. I am taking him because he’s got the game to win at Augusta. He does. He plays smart. He hits fairways. He hits greens and regg and I think he’s played there enough now. He knows what to do on the greens. And you don’t go post a low number at Gustoa. What you do is you go over there and play overall and I’ll just go on the this weekend’s was won by what 12 on the PGA. It was 12 under. Yes. That score is lower than what we’ll see. I agree with that. Um I want to say that normally the person that wins at Augusta is the person that has the most approach shots. uh the most gained strokes gained on approach shots. Um that’s who normally wins at Augustus. So I I can see that. I can see that. Moving on. Uh we talked about our rounds over the weekend. Let’s touch on the internet invitational. We’ve went through uh I think episode four, maybe five on the podcast. Let’s talk about the last episode, episode and a half here. Um, we all have seen it. Spoiler alert if you haven’t. I’m about to tell you, but the last episode of the Internet Invitational was epic. Um, it was, first of all, the whole production was amazing. It’s probably the best golf production that I’ve ever seen. And so play on the course besides watching me play on the course. Uh yeah. Um but whatever makes your head feel better. But you know, it was incredible to see. I think it’s huge for the game of golf. I think it’s huge for the for the game of social media golf. But it comes full circle. The man that took the very first shot in the very first episode also took the last shot on the last episode was Beef. Rest in peace Beef. But the man is on the winning team with Brad Doy and Francis. They win the whole deal in an epic showdown that come down to the 18th hole. Um it was just it was it was amazing to see. Was some controversy though with Mo with Malloi and Paige. Thoughts on the episodes? Thoughts on the controversy? Episodes five and six were extremely good. I mean, Cliffhangers looks like an unbelievable dope course. Can’t wait to go play it. Like, can’t wait. Can’t do it right now. It’s going to be good. That’s why it’s been at the top of my list every time that we’ve said anywhere we want to go play golf, where would it be? It’s been It’s been number one. Big Cedar Lodge has been number one for me every time we’ve went over it. And that’s why. So, with that being said, but yeah, episode six, dude, I watched it Thursday night after I got home. We had talked about a little bit on TT Live. You didn’t ruin it for me. You let me watch it. And I was thinking, you know, I said this last night. I was thinking I wasn’t going to be able to finish it. I couldn’t quit watching it. It was in not like intense, but it was very, very good golf content. And with that being said, that’s what the game’s about. 99.9999999% [Music] of the people in this world of golf, that’s what they want to see. They don’t want to I could care two less shits less that Scotty goes out there and hits every fairway. I want to see the bad shots. You know, I get he’s going to be in the premier groups. You’re going to see those guys. There was a little bit of that in this and but unbelievable and it did go full circle and it went full circle with probably it’s not probably with the absolute best dude that was there. Yeah. When we talk about a human being, you know, and I believe they asked him in that episode, beginning of it, what are you going to do with the money if you win beef? And he goes, give some to charity and then probably pay off my parents house. Yeah. And like that’s for real the type of duty is. And to watch them finish and every one of those people that were still there, which was about 48 of them plus all the cameramen and all that, come up and give him a hug like, man, you did it. You did it. It was It tells you how much respect he has and how how good of a golfer he actually is and what they do to respect him. Yeah. Y Yeah. Uh, Beef is incred was an incredible dude. Um, everybody that’s ever met him, ever talked about him, um, said that and, uh, it was it was an incredible incredible deal from start to finish. I love watching every minute of it as most anybody did, and tons and tons of views. Yeah. And it it’s 100% probably. It is the greatest thing it’s been on YouTube Golf. 1,000%. There’s nothing better on YouTube golf and it should make the tour recognize some stuff. Hey, this is some of the [ __ ] people want to see. You want to grow the game of golf, it’s grown a lot. I know it. There’s people that say shrink the game, blah blah blah. We’ll get into that [ __ ] on a different episode. You want to grow the game of golf, this is where you do it at. My 8-year-old son Morning was watching Grant Horbat hit golf balls on YouTube. Yeah. He’s not watching golf channels. He don’t give a [ __ ] about listening to Brandon Chambbley be a dumbass. um just because he is that’s what they want to see. So, it’s a great way to grow the game. Big shout out to not just Bob does sports or foreplay or the 48 people that played in it, but for everybody that had something to do with it as far as content, filming, editing, producing. And shout out to Port Noi for stepping up and putting the money up, man. I mean, that’s Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure he’s made some money off of it because he don’t make bad dis business decisions, but shout out to him for Oh, they made the money back. They made the money back in the views on YouTube alone. Oh, alone. Yeah. And shout out to him for having the stones to do it. I mean, I’m down with it. Yeah. I mean, yeah, it was incredible. What do you think about the Meloi and the Page rule questioning issues and the hate that they’re getting? What do you think about this? All right. First off, giving a little bit of hate talking about it is a different thing than sending some people and their family members, kids, wives, better halves, you know, messages on social media. Come on, get out of here with that BS. We’re grown. It didn’t hurt you no matter what. Who gives a [ __ ] Now, did Paige cheat? 100%. That I mean, that’s in proven a lie. She has played competitive golf. She has been in that world. She knows for a fact you can’t do that. If she says she don’t, she’s full of [ __ ] Um, that is improving a lot. You cannot mash down anything like that. Meloi I mean, I don’t know. And I say I don’t know because there’s no clear evidence that you can say for sure he was using slip. Now, I told you on the episode before I thought he was because Micah called him out and saw like, “Hey, you’re five yards off. These guys range finders aren’t five yards off.” Like, right? You know, that’s what I do. They’re using [ __ ] $400 bush nails or whatever. They’re not four They’re not five yards off. Micah and Meloi should not have a five yard difference. And Malloi, I’ve never seen a rangefinder have a five yard difference. Yeah. Whether it be a $40 rangefinder or $500 rangefinder, they’re within two yards. Yeah. And Melo’s answer to that was, “Well, I was up there.” It’s like, “Dude, that dog, that was two steps. Like, get the [ __ ] out of there with that bullshit.” But the other thing to that is, should he have done it if he was using slope? No, he shouldn’t have. I’m not gonna say he should have, but also to that point, the guys that called him out, I mean, I love cold cuts. I I like Joey Coldcut Cuts, you know that. It didn’t have [ __ ] to do with him. He’s out of the [ __ ] tournament. Shut the [ __ ] up. It was Bubby. Well, you got to But Cuts is the one that went to Portoi about it. Yes, that’s true. Yeah. And Bubby’s the one that brought it up. Who brought it up in the very first the very first episode on the par three? That was Micah. Okay. And is he good as well? No. Or he was he’s the one he’s the cousin that left or whatever. Correct. He He’s Garrett’s cousin. He left and he was the one that told Bbby. Yeah. And then Bubby said something go and then went down there. Yeah. So my thing with it is 100% Paige. No doubt. No doubt with Paige. She cheated. She knows the rules. The girl was trying to make it on the LPGA tour at one point in her life. You cannot tell me you don’t know the rules of the game and you weren’t improving that lie. Um, no, I agree with that. The Meloi part of it, I’m with you on that. Like, first of all, if you don’t have a dog in the race, what the hell are you saying anything for? Like, if it was you, you would be wishing nobody was saying nothing. Okay? So, if you don’t have a dog in the race, don’t do it. But here’s here’s my real point that I want to mention about Meloi. It is one thing for you to come on your platform and say that it was wrong. It is one thing for you to come on a podcast and say that it was wronged. It is one thing for you to say or make a post on Facebook that the man cheated, but what is not okay really is attacking him in his DMs or attacking definitely attacking his family. I mean, that’s just going too damn far. Um, first of all, all the people that are saying [ __ ] don’t have a dog in the race. It has no effect on your life. You literally don’t have a life that you’re spending the time to go out of your way to send him andor track down his family and wife and etc and etc to talk [ __ ] about something he did in a video. That of course was amped up because it’s bar stool and they want they feed off of [ __ ] like this. Hey to it. Talking about people not having a dog in a fight. There’s two guys in the video that have a lot more than just a dog in the fight. [ __ ] Ryan, Whitney and Dave got 10K on this [ __ ] So, if Dave’s okay with it and Wit’s okay with it, who gives a [ __ ] They got 10K on the match, right? And Francis Beef and Brad, they got a million dollars they’re playing for. Yeah. It would be different if I’m pretty sure Francis might have brought up the deal about the lie getting improved, but I don’t know. I don’t remember. He did. Okay. So, yeah. So, that I get it was the other team that’s involved playing for a million dollars that brought this up. So, yeah, let’s let’s get a ruling on it. But when somebody in the [ __ ] crowd, that’s like that’s like a uh uh being at a PGA Tour event and somebody like me that hates Rory, which I would never do this, but just say there’s a hater in the crowd and Yeah, exactly. And they say, “Oh, I seen him improve this lie or seen him move this ball.” Like, why are you even saying anything? You’re not even in the tournament. You have no, this has no effect on you. And the best thing when you watch it, Donkey tells Finch and him after they tee off, “Hey, Peter, I need you to be my eyes today. Just watch them.” Yeah. It’s almost like they they thought that they were going to cheat. Yeah. So, so, but anyways, um amazing amazing event. No, it’s a it’s an unbelievable event and it’s broke YouTube golf. I mean, I say it’s broke it ain’t broke it, but it’s it’s magnified it majorly. But we had dinner tonight, as Josh said when we opened, met our boy Flanny, and we get home and I’m waiting on Josh to get home. I’m scrolling a little bit on TikTok and there’s a song. Everybody knows it. Everybody knows the band. The song is the band is trained. The song is Drops of Jupiter. Love that song. Epic song. Great song. Epic song. Drop Jupiter in. Yeah. And my wife goes I was like, “Hey, that song’s older than you.” And she’s like, “No, it’s not. I remember when it come out.” I was like, “No, you don’t. No way. I remember when it come out.” So she pulls it up. She wasn’t even a year old yet when this [ __ ] song comes out, but she remembers this [ __ ] She remembers it coming out. She was born. You was wrong. You was wrong, De. So, do you remember what when you were 9 months old? What [ __ ] song was on the radio? No, you don’t. So, don’t give and like D. But that means I would have been like seven. So, I probably do remember when that song came out. I 100% remember when it come out, but I love that song. There’s no way you remember something when you’re that young. Like, I don’t remember. I listen to a ton of [ __ ] music. I know a lot of songs, but that don’t mean I was alive when they [ __ ] come out, or do I remember them coming out, you know? I was like, get the [ __ ] So, was that what y’all were laughing about? Yes, that’s what we were laughing about. I like arguing with me. She’s like, “I remember when that come out.” I was like, “No, you [ __ ] don’t because you weren’t you weren’t even warned yet. Like, get the [ __ ] out of here with that shit.” That is a good one for sure. Yeah. Um, but so speak, we talked a little bit about Tommy there, and I know it’s going back to it, but man, I want to know what his master’s odds are. I should look him up. I’m not going to look him up, but I would love to know what his master’s odds are because I think it’s a guaranteed money maker right now. I like that JJ Spawn plus 20,000 or whatever. I mean, that’s I mean, if you don’t throw 10 bucks on that to win two two grand if he if he won it, I mean, I can see JJ having a shot. Well, I’m going to tell some people on this just because we’re going to do some golf betting and stuff like that and I will give you, you know, my lock for a top 10 each week, blah blah blah blah. But with that being said, I’m going to tell you who not to bet on the Masters. That’s going to be a very popular name. So, here’s a hot take for you. When I say hot take, I mean hotter than a spoon at a trap house on payday, baby. Um, it’s hot. Gosh damn, it’s hot. That’s a hot [ __ ] spoon right there, Dez. Do not on the first of the month when the damn first of the month. Matter of fact, just the other day when the government reopened. Yeah. Um, do not take Ben Griffin. Now, do not take Ben Griffin to win the Masters. I’m going to tell you right now, the best money that I’ve seen. Okay, go ahead. And then I want to know why you don’t take Ben Griffin for the Masters. But go ahead with what you thought. Oh. Um, the best money that I’ve seen when we talked about it last was JJ Spawn plus 20 grand. I mean, that right there just smells sexy to me. That’s my type of That’s my type of play. And I bet you if it’s 20,000 for him to win it, it’s got to be two grand. It’s got to be plus two grand for him to make the top 10 and that’s a lock. I’ll throw a hundred on that right now. Throwing a hundo on it. Don’t want a hundo on it. But the reason I don’t take Ben Griffin on this hot take that’s like we said hotter than a spoon on payday at a trap house is it’s his first Masters baby. Ben Griffin has never played in the Masters. And I don’t think anybody’s ever won it their first time playing there, have they? Yes, they have. Who? Tiger. There’s been no Tiger played in 94. He was the low AM, made the cut, I do believe, and led the field in 94 in driving distance, still in college. But the one-time winner for the only winner on their first round was Fuzzy Zeller. Fuzzy Zeller. Fuzzy Zeller. Oh, Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. And Fuzzy won the Masters. Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear. And Fuzzy won the Masters. I’m trying to find the odds here so we can tell the folks at home. And let’s be honest, there’s these odds are going to change. These are Vegas odds right now. They’re going to change. So if you got a guy that’s a plus 20,000 like JJ Spawn, here’s the time to go pull up your DraftKings, pull up your I don’t even know all the ESPN bet. I’ll tell you Fred Couples is plus 100,000. So if you bet a dollar on Fred Couples to win the Masters in 2026, you’d win $1,000 off of a dollar if he won. VJ Sing is also plus $100,000. Then we move into the 50,000. We got Angel Cabera who I believe won it before. Anal Cabrera has Okay. Um let’s see where can I see Bubba Watson is plus 25,000. Master Champ by the way. Phil Mickelson is plus 20,000. Max Hom plus 18,000. JJ’s moved up already. Some people heard us talking about that and place some money on JJ. JJ is now plus $11,000. So $10 would pay you $1,100 if he won it. Keenan Bradley is plus $1,100. Wendham Clark plus 10,000. Maverick McNeely plus 10,000. Tony Fen now plus 9,000. Justin Rose plus 8,000. Patrick Reed and Dustin Johnson plus 9,000. Ben Griffin who we’re talking about is plus7,000. Did you say Patrick Reed’s a plus 9,000 to what? Correct. To win. Hell, I got the same odds he’s got of winning in it. Yeah. Um that’s none. not gonna happen because I’m not gonna be there. But you’re saying Ben Griffin is not a good bet. He is currently plus 7,000 to win the Masters. So why do you think he’s not going to win the Masters? This is the first time he’s ever played in it. He’s never played. Oh, you’re saying it’s because it’s the first time he’s ever played it. Yeah. History it don’t [ __ ] happen. Um, and you’re right, Anel Cabrera did win it and it was a very exciting Masters because that was the ’09 sudden death playoff with Kenny. Your boy with Kenny Perry was in it. That’s what I thought. Kenny Perry from Franklin, Kentucky. So your boy John Rom is plus,400. The favorite is Scotty. Rory is second fa favorite. Xander third, Bryson fourth, and John Rom fifth with Tommy Fleetwood sixth. And then Lo Lovich and Colin Mara are tied at plus 1,800. So some early talk about the Masters there. Here’s you a little Masters trivia. Can somebody name me? Who was the third person in that playoff in 2009? Good question. And and I do know this. Um it’s not a huge name. Correct. That is correct. I don’t know the name, but I do know that it wasn’t somebody that was that was normally in the mix. Kind of like Kenny, like he was a PGA guy. Made some cuts, but he never really was a a household name necessarily. Chad Campbell. Chad Campbell. Yeah, Chad Campbell. It was a three-way playoff. And actually, funny thing funny thing about that Masters and if you haven’t ever watched it, you can find a lot of it on YouTube. It is I cried. I was a young kid. I played Kenny’s Course growing up. So, for me, it was very upsetting that Kenny was about to win the biggest tournament that I’ve ever watched in my life. and then lost it the way he did. And the way that he lost it was he bowed uh 17 and 18. He only had to par one of those holes and he would have won it outright. What do I tell you on the golf course? Popcorn with no butter and extra salt. It’ll make that throat dry every time. Get a little chill every freaking time, dude. Um and the and the sad thing is the same thing basically happened to him in the 96 Masters. And I’ve been told, I haven’t heard this from his mouth precisely, but I’ve been told by multiple sources that have are very close with him, that if you ask him, um, first of all, he’s still I’ve heard that he’s more upset about the US Open loss than the Masters, but they’re both neck and neck. And that if you ask him, he will say that it was the pressure that it was the pressure. And that’s the reason that he lost both of those tournaments because the same exact thing happened to him in 96 at the US Open. Yeah. And it’s not like I mean when we say Kenny Perry on here, people be like, “Oh man, I remember that guy.” But until you say I literally have his flag, this yellow flag you’re seeing on the screen, that’s Kenny Perry, Country Creeks Golf Course, and his signature is on it. So we be there’s not a lot of people that remember him just off the top of their head. He’s a guy that’s got to get brought up. But Kenny was a good golfer. I mean, he’s legit a very good golfer. Oh, if he if he won two heartbreaking losses. If he won either one of those majors, he’s a Hall of Fame golfer. That That’s the only thing that’s the only thing keeping him from the Hall of Fame. He’s got 14 14 tour wins, a bunch of a bunch of uh cuts made, a bunch of top 10. Yeah. Um, and he’s also won fif he’s also won 14 times on the champions tour since he’s been on it. Yeah. I mean, he’s he he’s good. Yeah. Dude knows how to win some tournaments, just not the uh huge ones. But anyways, moving on from that, let’s talk about this real quick. Um, what’s your favorite damn thing to do? 85 career top 10 for Kenny Perry, by the way. Yeah. Yeah. A lot. Yeah. Um what Tell me what your Yeah. 85 more than a lot of us. Um tell me what is your favorite thing to do when you’re not golfing, D? Tell me that. Man, mine’s usually when we’re not golfing. I’m usually watching the kids play ball or I’m back home at mom’s doing whatever I got to do to help stepdad on the farm or, you know, we go mow my grandmother’s yard, stuff like that. I do enjoy doing like some seafood bulls, crawfish bulls with my cousin. We do that. I’m still waiting to be invited to one of these. Oh, we’ll we’ll get a crawfish when they’re back in season. We’ll get a we’ll get a good one. But, uh, we like doing those throwing darts. You know, I’m a high nooner guy in the summertime. So, get a couple of high noons in me and the sun goes down. Might get some bourbon and cokes and, you know, watch college football during the fall. Do what I do. Yep. But not really just one thing that, you know, I’m not playing golf. I’m going to go do this. So, correct. Yeah. Yeah. I’m the same way. I like a lot of different things, but of course, me and you both are into bass fishing a little bit as well. um don’t do a lot of it these days, but I I do love to watch bass fishing and participate. I play a lot of uh 2K PGA on the Xbox and uh hang out with my old lady and we like to, you know, go do a little bit of this and a little bit of that and just whatever whatever pops up. Um, we enjoy doing all kinds of different stuff, but golf is the uh the love of my life. So, it’s hard to uh And here I was thinking it was me the whole time. I’m sorry, buddy. I mean, you are right there with me, brother. Um Um, but just was curious about that. Thought that was a good question. I wanted to talk about this a little bit. We touched on it on the live show, but the top ranked college um golf schools and there was some interesting names up there that you had brought up on the live show um last night and really just want I was honestly surprised by a few of them. Um Alabama was in there. Um Virginia of course was in there. Tennessee was not in there, but I think they’re going to be there soon. They just spent $10 million on their golf program building a beautiful facility. Don’t remember if Louisville was in there, but I know they’ve got a beautiful facility. What do you think about where college golf is, where it’s going, that sort of thing. Uh well, if we’re going to talk about all time, which is what we were talking about the other night, when you pull up stuff, you know, people pull up rankings right now and stuff like that, but we’re going all time here. So, when you go all time, Texas is got to be in there as a top six. I would say Florida. And then your top three, actually, I know Florida. Florida is on this list at number four. because I believe they’re at five. No, they’re at six NCAA titles. Stanford has won seven and is known for developing top players. Let’s I.e. the GOAT say what it is there. But they’ve won seven NCAA titles including uh the 2019 and Rose Zang went there. Then Oklahoma State has 11. Okay, Oklahoma State is usually who pops in my head as the top of all time. You have pros like Victor Havlin, Ricky, they both played there. So, guys on tour right now that, you know, several guys have played there. Very good program. Um, then you would put Houston is your all-time leader at 12 NCAA titles in golf. So, Houston is your all-time leader. You do have other programs out there like the Florida States, the Georgia Techs, Alabama’s, Oklahoma. You got to put Oklahoma up there. You got to put UCLA up there. It’s another one. But a lot of these are in golf states. Let’s be honest. Arizona State. These are these are places you get to play golf year round. So, these guys get really good in college out there, and you have to be really good to get there. got places like Tennessee. I mean, they just spent about $20 million on a golf facility. They’re going to get there. They’re going to get there. Weather hurts them a little bit in Knoxville, East Tennessee. Kind of like Lexington with Kentucky. Weather impacts you a little bit on the golf course, but correct, college golf is pretty cool. And you get some smaller colleges in there like uh Liberty, one here locally is really good. Campbellville in Kentucky is a really good golf golf program over there for the guys. Know a couple of guys that played there. Might have a kid that I know playing basketball with my oldest that’s going there for golf more than likely. So, yeah. And we’re going to we’re actually real soon, guys, going to have or try to I’m going to hit him up about it now that we have this little new platform here. But we’re going to try to get a buddy of mine that plays college golf currently for Bethany College in West Virginia on to talk to us a little bit about how college golf works. Um so we’ll be working on that. Um man, um we got a lot of rain in the forecast this week. I know that uh golf if we were going to golf today was the day to do it and I didn’t get out in time to get it done and you worked uh till damn near dark. So, don’t know that we’ll be playing much if any at all this week, but we do have a um giveaway out. Um we put the video up today on our from the bunker Tik Tok. And guys, I also want to mention because I’ve been meaning to do this on the last few episodes, we do a live show two nights a week. Um, on Thursday nights, we’re on my page, golf, the number four game on Tik Tok, and we do a live show there. Then we also do a live show on D’s 2424 page, DZ2424. We do a live on his page every Sunday night. Both of these shows start at 8:30. They normally go for an hour, hour and a half. And we just get in there, we talk, we run through points, we have, you know, different things that we’re going to talk about kind of like a podcast, but we do a live version and we interact with the comments. We ask questions for you to comment your answers to and we talk about it. We go over them and and things like that. So, if y’all are finding this on the podcast form and you like what we’re doing, you’re going to love the live shows because the live shows are epic. So, y’all make sure that you check not only from the Bunker podcast out on Tik Tok, but also Golfer Game and D’s 2424. That way you can catch our live shows. Um, so we actually put out on our pod or our from the bunker podcast Tik Tok today a giveaway where we have and I’ve got them right here so I’ll show you but a couple different rangefinder options and then a bunch of different drip options. Here’s some jumbos. We got some uh reg or some midsize regular size corded golf prodes. and we’re going to give one lucky winner a choice of a rangefinder or a set of drips. All you have to do is subscribe to us on YouTube, follow us on Tik Tok, and then subscribe to us wherever you get your podcast, whether that be Spotify, Apple, Amazon, send us proof of that. That gets you entered. Then for every additional place that you subscribe to us, Instagram, the other podcast forms, um, things like that, you get an additional five entries. And then De’s has a way that I’m going to let him tell you how you can get an additional 10 entries. These, what is that? So when we do it, when we do that show, like we said, we get on there, it’s more of a chop it up with you guys. If you have Tik Tok, it’s getting there. ask you guys, you know, we do stupid stuff in there. What’s your favorite apparel brand? Do you like to drink orange Fanta sodas while you’re on the golf course? You know, stuff like that. Do you eat the turn dog? Do you do that? So, we chop it up with you guys. A lot of fan interaction there. Love doing it that way. That way we see comments rolling in live as we come through. Love chopping it up. But what we’re also doing there is if you send me a picture to my TikTok, which is D’s 2424 of a scorecard that you played golf that week. Has to have your name on it. Has to have the score wrote down. If you send that to me, you get 10 extra entries. We do have a guy named Bald and Bearded Golfing on TikTok. I call him BBG. He has sent me two this weekend. So, he’s already got an extra 20 entries anyway. Yep. But we do that. We We go I pick one. We see what you shoot. I don’t have to tell them the number, but if you want to get, you know, there’s people that sometimes might say, “Hey, I had the best round I ever had.” And if you did that, then what we’re going to do is we’re going to try to get you on with us. Say, “Hey, let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about your great round.” Because that’s what we’re here for. We’re here for the little guys. We’re not big guys, you know. I’m here. Well, I’m a big guy, but we’re not big in the aspect of social media. I’m just a big fella. Yeah. So, we’re here to chop it up with you guys and have a little fun with it and let you share in your experiences on something that you know can be saved, recorded, talk about it, and you know, you can show your kids. Yeah, maybe one day your grandkids, hey, you know, Peepaw over here shot a 71 at Valhalla this weekend and you don’t believe me? Here’s I talked to it about it with these guys on here. So, that’s kind of why we do that. Yeah. And we’re going to let you get earn entries up until the uh midnight on December the 1st. And then our first live show, which will be the Thursday after December the 1st, our first live show that Thursday, we will do the drawing and pick the winner and let you choose your prize. So stay tuned. Make sure you’re following us everywhere. This is just the beginning, guys. As we grow, we’ll do bigger bit bigger and better giveaways. 100% we will. And like I said, this is just getting started. It’s It’s not hot yet, but it’s going to get hotter than that spoon on payday at the trap house. So, get in while you can. Before we do anything else, Josh did tell you at the beginning of tonight’s show, starting this show that we went and hung out. So, couple of content creators were down in Florida playing golf this weekend with a guy that we all know and we had four or five of our buddies that we know went down there and played in it. We weren’t fortunate enough to be able to go play. I’ve got basketball with the kids. Josh has got work. I’ve got work. And with all that being said, we weren’t totally able to get down there. But they went down and Flanny’s on his way back. And I told him when he was driving back, he’s going to Wish Conson. I was like, “Man, holler at us when you come through Bowling Green if I’m off work or something. Maybe we go play.” Wanted to do that. Forecast, wasn’t calling for it. Didn’t set that up. Hollered at me, though. It’s like, “Hey, I need to see you and Josh. You going to do dinner or something like that. I got some stuff for you.” So, you can’t see it tonight. I will wear it this week, but holler at me if you want. I’ve got a absolutely phenomenal hat here that is by forgolf. You can go to their website. It is forgolf apparel.com or you can get with me and I will hook you up with my boy Flanny. Big shout out to him. I got a hat and a polo. Super dope. The hat has got a rubber duck on it and it’s sick. So, it’s going to be my new favorite hat. I done opened it. Yeah. He said he’s gonna send me one of the uh he said he’s going to send me one of the hats. though. Yeah, I think I got mine dirty a little bit, but the rubber duck on it I love. I don’t know why. I just like it. Yeah. And he gave me this cool last thing and it actually fits. He He I wear a two wedge. He only had a XL. He gave me the XL and it actually fits great. I sent him a picture when I got home with a text message that said, “I love this brand because I just fit in a damn XL just fine.” So, I feel small. But why are you why are you sending another grown man pictures of me and the damn shirt he gave me? I’m just playing with you, man. But anyways, um I uh I really like it. It’s sup super comfortable. It’s a quarter zip, but it’s also a hoodie and I’ve never seen that. It’s a quarter zip with a freaking hood on it. It’s amazing. It’s super comfortable. I love it. Um, and everybody should go check him out. Flanny Dobs35, I believe, on Tik Tok. And, uh, you can’t send me a message or send Josh a message. We’ll get you in touch with him. Yeah. And four, what’s it? Fourgolf Apparel.com. Correct. F O R Eolf. Yeah, they’ve got they got some great looking polos, some great looking hats. The hat Flanny had on, I I liked it as well. So, um, look forward to wearing that. I was going to wear it tonight on the podcast, but it was a little warm in here. So, um, anyways. Um, there’s one more thing. There’s one more thing. Go ahead. Huh? Go ahead, honey. There’s one more thing that I want to mention before we get wrapped up here. The last thing that I want to mention, we don’t have all the details worked out. I don’t know exactly what we want to do, but this is why I want y’all to stay tuned the most to our podcast and our pages. And that is me and D’s and it was his idea. But I love doing stuff like this. And I’m going to give you a quick quick story of why I love doing stuff like this. As I was growing up um until I was probably 15, 16 years old, I was a more than fortunate kid. Uh my dad was pretty well off. We always had everything that we wanted. Nice house, nice vehicles, money, the whole nine yards. And um my dad used to not only buy Christmas for for kids, but he owned a business and he would do food drives every year. So on Thanksgiving and on Christmas, we used to take boxes of food and on Christmas boxes of food and presents to less fortunate kids. from my school or whatever. And I was never allowed to tell them it was us. I wasn’t even allowed for the longest time to know who it was. But that always made me want to give back. It’s something that I’ve done my whole life and I love doing it. And um De’s had the idea of coming up with a way to help some kids out for Christmas with some golf stuff. So we don’t know all the details yet or exactly what we’re going to do. I’ll let him talk about it a little too. But that’s why I want you to stay tuned to our YouTube, our Tik Tok, our Instagram, our podcast every week. That way you can help us help some kids that want to get into the game of golf because we’re all about growing the game here. And we want to help some young kids that might want to be on the golf team or want to go try out or want to just play the game that their parents can’t necessarily afford the expenses of golf. So Dez, I’ll let you touch on it, but we will be bringing y’all some more details soon once we figure out that exact path we want to go. Yeah, guys, I love, you know, helping things in general. As long as they’re not trying to go to the University of Alabama, I’ll help anybody. If you’re trying to go there, you need to find somebody else. Don’t care about school. You better never root for Justin Thomas again. I don’t root for Justin Thomas to win any PGA event. I just I just like some of the stuff Justin wears. I mean JT’s a he’s a kind of cool dude, but when it comes down to it, I I don’t really root for JT. Um I I mean, I like the guy. I root for him in the RDER Cup, but that’s that’s America over the world, so I can do a little bit there. I’ll take that over that. But no, good good thing to do. would love to be able to help out. If you know of anybody that Hey, I got a buddy or a guy at work that you know, anything can happen this time of year. I see it all the time in my my world. I say that Josh was around me earlier and it’s like, are they talking about another fire? I mean, we’ve had so many apartment fires this year. It’s unreal. I don’t even like talking about the word, but you know, anything could happen. We’d love to help some people out. If y’all are listening and want to know, feel free to hit hit me up. Tell you what, you know, junior PGA, first T, whatever. If we find somebody, you know, that we can help% will do it and just let me know and I can help you help them. Yeah, we can do it anonymously, whatever. Also, with that being said, anybody for Christmas for Christmas list, there’s a ton of golf stuff out there. We’re going to run through some of that stuff probably next week. But my buddy over here, Josh, like I said, guys, he is a huge Lori Mackoy fan. So, anybody, they can get anything. Autograph pictures, golf balls. It’s going in the trash. Oh, matter of fact, that will be donated. I won’t trash it. I’ll donate it to the children. They might like Rory. So, any of y’all got anything with Rory or anything like that, let me know. We’ll get it sent over to Josh. I’ll send you his address. You can send him some posters or postcards. If they still make postcards, I don’t know if they make postcards anymore. And if you want a digital one, I can give you his email. You send me a digital one. That’d be even better. Uh, but yeah, anything with Rory Josh is a huge fan of. He swings nothing but Taylor made because of Rory. Exactly. Exactly. So, if you That’s why I’m so [ __ ] good at golf. I mean, let’s be real. Do do we want to talk about about how if you say it, I swear to God I’m gonna [ __ ] I’ll delete everything I’ve ever did with you and we’re no longer friends. That’s how bad it was, boys. It was bad. I will say one thing. He was it over five? Was it over 59? Negative. Okay. Well, then it’s not terrible. It’s not good either, though. I mean, it’s not good, but if if it’s not over seat, if it’s not 60 or more, I’m content. Uh, I mean, I think you and the Duke probably shot the same number that day, dude. The Duke swing is [ __ ] nuts, bro. All right. That dude rips, darts, makes goes um, and goes. That’s He rips it. Well, um, you got anything else? Yeah, I wanted to say this. Well, you made me lose my train of thought now. It’s my fault. Welcome to From the Bunker, where everything’s my [ __ ] fault. So, hey, I want to ask you something real quick. We We had two I’ve had two things tonight. One of them you’ve already heard. So, I just want to end the show on a good note. I wonder if a you’re riding in the car and Oreo, y’all don’t know Oreo is Josh’s dog, right? Oreo is riding in the front seat. You pull up next to a K9 unit. Does Oreo sit straight up and like popo or does he just chill like he don’t know like hey that’s a cop dog. What’s he doing? Oh no. He’s he’s he’s out attention. He’s letting he’s letting a man know. And before we get off tonight, if a man is in the woods by himself and he is talking, is he still wrong because his wife’s not there? It depends on it. It depends on if she hears him or not to be honest with you. Um, it really does. But listen guys, it’s been a uh hell of an episode. We went for an hour. We’re going to end it here. Um, from the bunker, episode 4. We appreciate everybody that’s tuned in, listened, like, subscribed, all that. Continue to do that. We will be back again next week with a new episode for you. This is Golfer Jame. I’m D’s 2424 aka Josh’s daddy. Peace. base.
