This is the BMW hole-in-one hole. Would love to see that go off this weekend. Be hardressed to find one today though with the pin position over on the left. Not far from there. Go. It’s in. Daniel Gale. A BMW M5 Touring will look very nice in the garage. Incredible. What a golf shot. Let’s head to Daniel Hillier. His approach shot to the first. Paul G with this group today. All they’ve all smashed them down here today. Lift clean and place. And you can see with Hillia, this is a great angle in some beautiful golf as a mentioned from Adam Scott out there today, including this at the 18th hole and poured that one in. Started with a bogey but fought back on his first nine, the back nine. Minw four birdies on that back nine and there’s one of them. And a lot of people have come to see myself included. Marco Penge. This was his ninth hole of the day. Couple over for his round. Bit of a slow start. Has had some neck issues the last few days, but he just manages to get that one full heading into his second nine. And around Royal Queensland, the pathways are a real feature. Here’s Elvis Smiley on the first of the front nine. His second nine. Certainly is. I’m sure most people know his story where he Oh, almost almost just slammed up there, Matt. Oh, you’ll have fun watching that group this afternoon, Paul. There’s some serious shot making in that three ball. Kind of thinking 3 to 6:00 on the clock face of this flag front right if you can find it. Gives you a good look. Oh, now back to four with Peterson. Guys, I’m getting a sore neck looking up at the ball flight of Near Guard Peterson. He hits it so high. And what a shot that is. And Hillier here. Very neat game. We’ve seen him for a lot of years now and sort of come of age in the last two years. This one needs to move. Oh, fantastic shot. Second shot into six. It’s on the front left today trying to draw it in. That was special. David Maloozi from Victoria. Oh, what a glorious shot. A spectacular approach from Maloozi. Now here’s Wen Neman. His approach shot to the par five seventh only 70 m. That’s what happens when you’ve got a good wedge game. I think you’ll get that part. He’s dancing with the hole there. That would have set the gallery al light. Phenomenal shot for birdie. Daniel Hillier. Bingo. A 59 with a double. That could be a first. I heard of 59s with the bogey. Andrew Martin, a winner in the Northern Territory, part of the Australasia PGA Tour. This is the par 3 11th. And that is some golf shot. Matias Sanchez. seen quite a bit of him throughout the summer on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and he rolls that one in confidently and have a look at that for a scorecard. That’s five birdies in his last six holes, especially after the start. Bogey bogey. That’s how you bounce back. Let’s go to the party hole. Shank Shana. Little bit of Fleetwood Mac there. Nice. Takes the shots. So was that might have found his song, his groove. 17 and Cory Crawford. Oh, they’re getting closer and closer. Yeah, this pin today on 17 is very accessible. Long way down the 10th hole. Nar Pison. Huge T-shot just 130 in a wedge in here and looks great in the air and looks well looks pretty good up on the green as well for birdie at 13. Gagos if he can find one. They are few and far between. Very nice. Pours it in. Might actually be Goss as well. A double L is usually a a J sound down in Argentina. Nicely done there. He’s in the red for the day. Was nice. came through Cusco, the Argentinian. You’re seeing him a few times playing in the Australian Open next week, too. Now, Davis, it’s just a little pitch. Well, a little bit better than he did on seven. That’s a good comeback right there. His answer as the Fortnite stats underline. Not sure he has the firepower to get there. Can he prove me wrong? It’s flat and on a good line. Oh, he’s proved you wrong there. That’s when you find the front left portion. Interesting. Two putt coming up. But what a T- shot. Yeah, don’t tell him I said that. When when he watches the the replay back tonight, he’ll know. Yan. Second shot. Tough one here for Mark Leeman at 12. We had a little gap through the trees and took the high ride. I was very surprised he was able to land that on the green, but wonderful touch. Let’s go to 13. Davis on the way and dialed in. Nice whack. Wow. That is something special. I don’t know if you saw his first bounce there. He actually got the cushion of the front of the green which shot it forward. He’ll tell you it was absolute skill. Pretend pretend like you meant it. Off it goes for Hill. You’re at 13. Yeah, fantastic shot Kim Davis there. It’s about getting it anywhere on this greenman here at 13. He’s putting together a very impressive round of golf. the veteran Australian. It’s the head of our leader at the moment, Garcia. Fairway bunker or just short of it there on five. Didn’t see any sand, so I’d say he’s just short. Make his back left pin. Aggressive. Might have another birdie coming up shortly. Another birdie part here for our leader Sebastian Garcia to go two ahead. What a beautiful roll from the 36y old Spaniard. It’s a strong contingent of Spanish competitors this week. Let’s head back to Daniel Hillier now. He’s on 15. His third shot. Our leader, Sebastian Garcia, two strokes ahead of a chasing pack. A couple of par fives to come after this sixth hole. Looking to extend his lead even more right here. We could see a bit of a gap. He has got his eye in this afternoon. Sebastian Garcia, a victor on the challenge tour at the Hang Xiao Open in a playoff in 2025. So that’s where we are positioned. We’ve played currently suspended. Sebastian Garcia, the 36y old from Madrid in Spain, slipped in under the radar. He leads by a couple at minus 7. A whole group of players at four under the card. Ryan Fox, Anthony Quail, Widing, Tapio, Pulkin have been there since earlier in the day. Then Muno Barbi and Pickin still playing their opening round. Brian, a four under opening round of 67 here in Brisbane. Not bad for a man who’s recently come off some time off. Uh how do you assess your performance? Yeah, very happy. Um you I’ve had two months off. My last event was a French Open, so um yeah, I don’t know if the expectations were that high coming into today. Um I’ve been playing nicely at home, but it’s always different playing social golf than playing tournament golf. And um yeah, I I actually played really nicely and um you know, there’s a couple of couple of scruffy shots around the greens and a couple of interesting putts out there I hit, but um for the most part, yeah, drove it really well. Hit some good iron shots and um yeah, was very happy with how today worked out. uh playing with Adam Scott and Elvis Smiley today. How uh it looked like you’re enjoying yourselves and did you feed off one another? Yeah. Um you know, a comfortable pairing I think. Um, you know, I played a bit of golf with Scotty over the last few years, practice rounds and stuff and he’s a legend and um, get along really well with him and enjoy chatting and, you know, obviously Elvis is young and coming through, but I’ve played a little bit of golf with him and and, you know, got to know him pretty well over the last year or so and he’s a good kid and um, yeah, look, the support was great out there and um, yeah, nice just, as I said, a nice comfortable group and we all kind of probably left a little bit out there, but there was enough there was a lot of good in our group today, which was Uh so you recently completed your second season on the PJ tour. Uh it’s been a busy season for you as well. Um been back in New Zealand, now back in Australia. Uh how much have you enjoyed being back on the Australasia Tour where you first began? Yeah, it’s been awesome. Um I felt like I spent more time talking the last couple of days than practicing. So you know, there’s I’ve got a lot of friends that still play out here. Um I think there’s 13 Kiwis playing this week. So, uh, we had we all had dinner together last night and, um, one of the pubs down on the water and, yeah, it’s just it’s great to be back. Um, you know, it feels like home in a sense. You know, when I know we give each other a bunch of stick when we’re playing them in sport, but, you know, when you go overseas, Aussies and Kiwis tend to congregate together, there’s a lot of similarities and culture and apart from the mid30s uh, and humidity, you know, it it feels like we’re we’re pretty close to home here. There’s definitely a few Kiwis out sporting as well, which is awesome. Great stuff. for good luck tomorrow. Thanks, mate. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. 1. I live in Portugal, I’ve played that course the number of times. Look at the poincianas in bloom it’s beautiful Royal Queensland what a privilege to play that particular course these guys because of their abilities we make it look easier than actually is very impressed watch this video

  2. I think my favorite part of these highlights was when they showed Elvis Smylie and we're watching the shot in the air, waiting for it to land, where could it go? How close? Oh, we won't show you, we're just going to cut away 😂

  3. I still don't think broomstick putters should be allowed. So sad to see them still being used. C'mon PGA and R&A, get your act together and act.

  4. 0:07 ‘Will be hard pressed to find one today….’

Bla bla bla…. Imagine she went home right after that stupid comment?!

  5. Considering the normal standard of highlights ya'll upload, this was a really poorly put together set. Shots shown without showing where they land, lots of focus on just a few players with barely any attention given to the leaders, and realistically most of the shots shown weren't even anything that 'highlight' worthy anyway.
