A weather-interrupted Round 1 of the BMW Australian PGA Championship has resumed this morning at Royal Queensland.
The majority of the players to tee off in the Thursday afternoon wave didn’t finish their opening rounds as lightning hit Brisbane and delayed proceedings.

Spaniard Sebastian Garcia (-8) will lead when the first round concludes. He went to bed last night with a two-shot lead but still had holes in hand.
He birdied the par 4 18th this morning to shoot a first round 63. He’ll be one of the first players to begin their second round this morning with Garcia to tee off at 7:40am local time.
Dan Gale is the best of the Aussies on -6.
Dual PGA Tour winner Ryan Fox is -4 as well as a raft of other players including Marc Leishman.
Other notables include Adam Scott (-3), Min Woo Lee (-3), Cam Davis (-3), Cam Smith (-2) and Marco Penge (-1).
