In today’s video, we’re going to be testing a golf laser rangefinder that’s ranked number one on Amazon that has sold over 5,800 units. Why of £5,800 people bought this laser? That’s what we’re going to find out today. We’re going to test this Red Tiger rangefinder that retails at 109. I’ll stick a link in the description below. Obviously, there might be seasonal offers and things like that, but yeah, I mean that is incredible numbers. There must be something good about this laser. Let’s get stuck in. So, first things first, it comes in a really nice heavyduty, well packaged box. And I think I think what does a package, you know, why does that make a difference? I think that says a lot about a golf brand, you know, when they care about the small details. So, yeah, obviously unboxing is really nice. It were nice sort of thing. I thought straight away you just feel like, “Oh, I bought a quality product here.” And then you open it up and you’re greeted with a really nice black sort of I’m a minimalist so anything like this suits me. It’s a heavy really heavy duty case. In fact, probably one of the better ones that I’ve seen or best one I’ve seen I could even say. And I think even looking at the smaller details in the box, you know, I’ve opened a lot of lasers. You don’t get that much detail inside the box. I think this is where a lot of like brands cut the costs a little bit, but it it makes me think I bought a quality product. I’m not even tested this yet. And I’m already thinking like this is a good brand. This is a brand that really cares about the fine details. We’ll obviously get stuck in. We’ll have a look at the lasers. We’ll have a look at inside the box and what you get. But first impressions are absolutely 10 out of 10. Right. So, we will have a close-up look at this laser in a minute. But first things first, I’m going to get a distance. This bunker on the left. It’s 153 yards. So, it probably is in range for the T-shot. I’m going to aim at that bunker. So, I’m coming to the right hand side of the tea. So, I want to aim left. I’m going to sort of have my practice swing outside the zone and try to visualize a shot before I step into it. And then once I’ve sort of got that feeling of visualization, I’m going to walk into it and hit. That’s perfect. Just fading off it. It’s going to be right off at fairway. But there were no chance we’re ever going to reach that bunker, which I took the time to measure it. So, they haven’t let us down. We’ve got a magnetic holder. We’ve got a clip. We’ve got a USBC charging cable. And we’ve also got a cloth to clean the lens. So, that ball’s not traveled very far today. It’s actually short of the bump because it’s probably only gone about 235, 230. Am I going to be able to get there in two? Let’s see what we’ve got left. So 246 yards. So very unlikely. I probably I’m not going to lay up because I think I’m not going to reach the green side bunks at 246, but I could have a nice short chip on. But if it had been like 280, that’s where I might have decided to play maybe a seven and leave 100 yards in because I’m not the best between like probably 60 and 80 yards. I don’t like that kind of shot. And I think again for you guys at home, if you’re not zapping pins and working out landing areas, the shots to be gained, right? So, we got forward again. I’m going to aim at that big tree on the left side of the green. Try to get my feeling here and then I’ll go into it. Same again. That’s perfect. Oh, it’s just straightened up a little bit. We’ll see. We will have a close-up look at this laser in a minute. See what we’ve got left. 42 to pin. I’m going to have to carry at least 60 70% at waist. I’m going to have to go with a lofted club. Oh, not the best. It’ll work. That’s two weeks of not playing golf. I should have definitely hit a few pitch shots before I come out. I went on driving range obviously loosened up but didn’t really hit anything off grass and uh there were few nerves there. I’m going to leak pins in today. Oh god, why did I hit that? Did you see that leaf? Just didn’t stop. I just kept going. Bad course management or bad uh pre-shot routine. Or maybe I was just too in zone. I couldn’t stop. So, let’s have a close-up look at this laser then. It’s a sort of matte white finish. I’ve already tested that because I dropped it and it wiped clean. So, good durability test that we’ve got the magnetic hold, so it’ll magnetically hold onto a buggy or we’ve got the clip in the bag, which you could use for your belt buckle. We’ve got the adjustability to move it into yards and meters. And then we’ve got the slope function here. I have tuned this to my sort of eye sight as well. So I will show you through the lens in a minute. It is very crisp. Right. I’m not sure I’ve played this one off the winter tea. So let’s see how far we’ve got. I now know I’m hitting me fairway wood around about sort of 230. So it’s not rolling out at all. We’ve got 261. So, if I’m going to go for this, just fine-tune that clarity again. Yeah, if I’m going to go for this, I’m going to need a driver. And let’s have a go for it. Or are we doing the uh pre-shot routine? Let me get into the zone. Yeah, let’s go for it. I still fancy it. It’s quite wide open at a minute cuz all trees have sort of been cut back and leaves have fell off. Right. So, I’m going to visualize that left side of the green. Need to do it here. Have another practice swing and really see it. It’s not faded back. It’ll be all right. We’ve still got a birdie chance. We still got a birdie chance and it’s in play. I will show you the clarity through the lens in a minute. It’s very sharp. Um, but what I would say, you know, already because I’ve test a lot of lasers, I’d just say this is going to be one of them bulletproof lasers. There’s no sort of digital display. There’s no frills. It’s just for somebody that wants a good quality laser. It’s got all the features to be honest. magnetic. You know, they don’t all have the magnetic hold. It’s got slope. You know, you can turn it on and off quite easily. I think it looks quite nice. I think it’s it’s it’s very good quality. You know, credit to credit to Red Tiger because I’m going to be honest, I’ve never heard of them before. And being a brand that I’ve not heard of and I’ve not seen the product before, I don’t see Red Tiger and I I don’t I didn’t think this quality of product were going to come. I don’t know if you can appreciate what I’m trying to say there, but for a brand I’ve not heard of, I just weren’t expecting the fine detail in everything that they’ve done and the quality of product. So, uh, let’s see if we can get up and down here and, uh, it better. Right, that’s gone about 250. What we will test on the last doll is the slope. We got a nice uphill approach. We’ll measure the total distance to the pin and then see what it compares with slope as well as looking at clarity of that lens. Right. Come on. It needs to be better. Last one. Go, go, go. Just made it. Right, we said we were leaving pin in. So, I’m going to leave it in, which means I can go firm and direct. It’s not going to be much break on these greens at the minute. Firm. Firm. It’s a foot short. What am I doing? It were online as well. That’s where I would argue with Laura. It’s not good enough leaving a a 10 foot put short. But actually, no, she’s right. in the grand scheme of a round and keeping a good mental approach to golf. I think you’ve got to just yeah, you’ve got to stay um calm and it is good enough. It’s a par and in relation to the 180 all round, you know, it’s not going to make or break you, is it? But it’s certainly not going to break you. So, I’ll show you the clarity of lens. I’m going to laser these two trees. It’s a difficult one this, but as you can see, it’s about 250 yards them trees. So, I’m going to start them and try and fade it off it with the driver. That’s perfect. I got the fade that time. Oh, big bounce right though when it landed. It weren’t a very nice bounce, but it’s all right still. Right. So, switching slope off for a minute. We’ve got 114.7 yards. So, it should play a bit longer than that. Obviously, we’re slightly uphill. So, we slow back on 118.2 yards. It’s definitely accounted uh for a few yards that slight uphill slope. And in fairness, you still get the total distance at the top of the screen and then the slope distance at the bottom. So you don’t need to switch it on and off, but I just use that as a bit of an example. So 118 yards. It’s playing slightly into wind and slightly off the right. So think I’m going to go pitching wedge. It’s not bad. It’s looking decent if it’s the right length. Well, it’s actually finished right at pin, so it’s a good job I accounted for a little bit of left to right, but not bad for distance. Now, to reward you guys for staying, if I hold this, I’ll give it away. And trust me, I will have a go. I’ll tell you what, if I leave it short, I’ll I’ll give it away as well. So, you know, I’ve at least had a go at it. I’m going to try and haul it. Uh just to give something back to you guys that are watching the videos and watching them till the end as well. Steady, steady, steady, steady. You can’t say I didn’t give it a chance. Guys, that was the Red Tiger laser, which I’ll tag in the description below. And I’m going to conclude by saying I think that’s the first premium budget laser I’ve ever tested. And I’m saying premium because there’s been no budget or no expense spared in terms of making a quality quality rangefinder. The only thing that’s budget is the price. Guys, hope you’ve enjoyed that video. If you’re not already subscribed, hit the subscribe button and we’ll see you in a few days time. Bye.

Great video Gaz must admit I was praying for you to leave that putt short then 😂
Great vid
Good video, Gary. Well done on the enthusiastic and fair review. I'm glad to see that you've recovered your enthusiasm for the game, following your video a few weeks ago. I know that it's difficult to retain your focus during the winter, but keep up the good work. I do enjoy your content.
Looks a good rangefinder games looking good as well Gary
Golfsidekick uses one of these and swears by them … and that’s why they are so popular… I’ve got one and it’s great… however I have the grey version which really blends in and is easy to leave on the metal arm of your golf buggy.. so I put a stripe of orange duct tape on it so that I don’t leave it on the buggy … again! 😂
Sounds like it maybe a Chinese product
Great video gary and that rangefinder looks pretty decent value
Nice one Gazzers.
Got one. It's good. Fails to read occasionally but otherwise it's a good bit of kit. Had mine two years and I've charged it once😂
£80 on eBay… Direct from Red Tiger. Cracking range finder, well worth a punt 👌🏻
I can't help but think we are all being played. It seems that so many of the golf influencers are evaluating and pushing either Eleven hybrid clubs, Takomo or Vice clubs or certain brands of electronics.
A great video Gary, really enjoying your content. Keep up the good work buddy. I will be ordering one of these on the back of your thorough review, thank you.
Great video Gary, I’m looking to buy one or suggest it for my birthday or Christmas.
Nice work
Great video.
I picked one up on sale a while back. It was recommended by Golf Sidekick at the time and it works great. I used it over a year before I had to charge it up for the first time.
Good review Gaz. I'll have it if your giving it away😊
Thanks G, good to see the smile is back
Just to clarify, is there no giveaway as you didn’t hole it or leave it short? If there is a giveaway count me in 😂
Thanks Gary,
Which Rangefinder do you use and recommend for casual golfers?
Always watch them to the end Gaz…hype them too 👍
A returning golfer here and tech has moved on a lot since i used to play. I'm currently using a phone app for distance what if any benefit would a range finder give me over the app thanks. Good video
