A multi-million dollar estate in one of Sarasota’s most exclusive golf communities hits the market.

A $6.5 million resort-style home hit the market in The Founders Club, one of Sarasota’s most exclusive golf communities.

Located at 3236 Founders Club Drive, the community only houses 262 homes along 700 acres of lakes, fairways and nature preserves, making this estate unique for its low density and privacy.

Built in 2022, the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home is over 7,000 square feet on nearly 0.6 acres of land, according to the listing. The lakefront home’s sleek design is complemented by interior features such as a glass-and-wood floating staircase, a feature wine wall, walk-in closets, high ceilings and designer lighting.

The home’s kitchen features an oversized waterfall island, luxury Wolf appliances, two dishwashers, custom cabinetry and a butler’s kitchen. The kitchen extends into a family or living room, and flexible living — or a space that can adapt to the needs of its residents — offers two private offices, a home gym and a theater room.

The Mediterranean-style estate is also a smart home, meaning automation controls lights, climate, audio, security and the pool system. The community is also gated.

Outdoor features and the home’s fees

Exterior features are also extensive. A resort-style pool with a lap lane dominates the outside, but the backyard also holds a fire-pit lounge, a covered lanai with a fireplace, a full summer kitchen, a hot tub, submerged pool seating and a tanning ledge. The home also has a four-car garage.

Listed by Darren Dowling of Beyond Realty, a Leverage Global Partners brokerage, the estate comes with an option to become a club member. There are no community development fees for the home, according to the listing, but it’s estimated that there are $443 in monthly HOA fees and $21,818 in yearly real estate tax.

Under a 30-minute drive to St. Armands Circle and downtown Sarasota, and under 20 to University Town Center and Lakewood Ranch, the sophisticated and technologically advanced home offers a close proximity to a bit of everything.
