What’s with all the hate for the skins game?
I’m genuinely excited about it — it’s been years since we’ve actually had one. But now I’m seeing people online complaining that the lineup isn’t good enough, or that YouTube Golf should’ve been included, or that it’s somehow not “big” enough.
Personally, I’m just stoked the skins game is even back. If it keeps going, the format and the lineup can evolve over time. I don’t think it needs to be some huge “YouTube Golf vs. PGA Tour vs. Whoever” showdown right out of the gate.
Are you all excited about it? Disappointed? Or, do you have some other strong feelings about the whole thing that im missing? Genuinely curious where everyone stands.

I’m excited for the format more than the lineup.
These made for TV special events don’t interest me at all. Maybe I’m the minority. Every now and then you’ll get a good mic’d up moment, but not that often.
YouTube golf is a bunch of douches.

If you think this lineup isn’t good enough you’re not a serious fan of pro golf imo – stud players, great personalities.
Hopefully it isn’t overproduced like the tnt versions the past few years
Funny. I used to never miss the skins game. Went to one too. Do not care about any of these guys.
I think Wolf would be a more interesting format. And add some “dots” for extra crap like bunker saves, long putts, chip-ins, or whatever. Have a car prize for a hole in one but make it good on any shot holed from 100+ yards on any hole. And have Barstool Trent in the mix but playing from 200-150-75 yards on the par 5-4-3’s.

Made for TV events and team golf just don’t interest me at all. I like the 1 against the world format.

So glad the skins game is back. Loved this as a kid, on Black Friday afternoon from Palm Springs, I just wish it wasn’t on at 6am out west

I don’t really like the way they present these, it can be very boring. I actually think if they did it the way the Internet Invitational was then it could be really good and a bit different.
