That was saucy. That was a saucy little chip. That was a good shot. What’s up you guys? Welcome back to the channel. Today we’re at a new course and it just so happens to be the course that ended my professional golf career. We’re at Orange Tree Golf Course here in Scottsdale and it is an amazing course. So, don’t let the course scare you away. It has nothing to do with the course that it ended my my professional golf career, but it is kind of funny. This is the first time I’ve been back since playing here for the Arizona Women’s Open in 2020. I played horrifically and that was that that was the end. I I hung it up after that. So, I’m excited to be back. This course is amazing. I love this course. It’s so pretty and honestly, I kind of forgot about it. So, they recently reached out. They have this new card. It’s called the Citrus Card that they are offering. They’re only offering like 50 of them total. It’s kind of their version of a membership. They gifted me one and in return I don’t have to do anything besides just post at the course. But I wanted to let you guys know because anyone who’s into Arizona, you should definitely check this course out. Okay, this is enough blabber. So today we’re going to play the front nine. It is pretty late in the afternoon, so hopefully we can get all nine in. It’s going to be a slow day and we’re just going to see if I can hopefully play a little bit better than my round in 2020. I do have a post from there. I’ll I’ll put it on the screen now. I couldn’t find my old score, but I just know I had like three triples. Like it was the worst day ever. I’m feeling a little bit under the weather from all my travels lately, but I also have a new putter, so we’re going to test that out today. See how that goes. All right, let’s go play hole number one, par four. It’s really short, so I’m just waiting for these guys to clear the way. But I do remember this hole being pretty straightforward, but the green I think slopes back to front. But we’re not worried about the green yet. We’re just worried about a straight drive. And as usual, trunk slammer came straight out of the truck. All right, I’m going to aim. You see that palm tree like right down there in the middle? I’m going to aim at the tree just to the left of it, the like bright green tree. Let’s just see what happens. That was a good ball. A little off my target slightly, but it’s perfect. Okay. Oh, this is not a breakfast ball. This is for Instagram now. So, at 106, I’m going to go right at the pin. Duh. Oh, a little skinny. Get down. Get down. Sit. All right, it’s fine. Just hit it a little bit thin. A little skinny. All right. I have this new putter called the Antidote. It’s from Betardi. I’m still not sponsored by them anymore, but they send me stuff. That was a really bad attempt at that putt. Make a three putt from uh 100 yards out. Not a great look. Not a great look. All right, start off with our bogey. No big deal. I did birdie this ball for Instagram if you’re wondering. One over. This is part five. It’s really far. And I forgot to mention, we’re also playing the combination TE’s because straight white was like 6,500 and I have not been playing that long of courses lately. So, we’re going to just play a combo. Oh, that’s smoked. That is smoked. Smoke. Smoke. City. Smoke. So, okay. You know, that was that was always going to be lame. Whatever was about to come out of my mouth was going to be lame no matter what. Also, I learned on the drive here, this used to be an orange grove, and that’s why it’s called orange tree. Fun fact, we have 233 into this green. And I’m going to hit my 3-wood. I can’t get there. But if I can give myself a decent chip opportunity, then we can have a chip in for e for eagle. Yeah, for eagle. That is so pure. Oh my gosh, that is so pure. Whoa. For a second, I got a little nervous cuz that was going right at that person in blue and I was like, if I just peered that or got the yardage wrong, I’m going to kill them. But we’re just in front of the green. Woo. Okay, we left oursel just in front of the green here. And I have this 56 in my hand. I think everything breaks down to the right. I’m not positive. Let’s just chip it and see. Oh, that was good. Oh, that was good. That was saucy. That was a saucy little chip. Ooh. Can we make a birdie and put us back to even par? That’d be nice. We have I thought this was a little bit closer, but um like uh I don’t know 15footer for bird for bird dog. That was so bad. That was so so bad. I’m about to put this putter away because maybe it’s just not the right putter for me. Part one over through two. Hole number three, part four. It’s a really short par four. We’re only 331. I like it. I like it a lot. Let’s make a birdie. That was really good. Yeah. Uh, I don’t think I could be any more in the middle of the fairway. 114. I’m going to hit my nine iron and hit a little punch down shot. Um, also this was one of the last courses. I know I already told you guys was one of the last courses I played as a professional golfer and it ate me alive, but it is so pretty out here. It was also raining. It was just a really off day. So, it’s not the course’s fault. It was my fault. Oh, that’s good. Be good. Be good. Be good. Go. Go a little more. That’s really good from here. That looks super close. I just put that so freaking close. Look at it. Would you look at it? The punchdown shot is the shot, you guys. I don’t care where you are, it is always going to be an accurate, more accurate shot, I think. All right, we have this putt for a birdie. Birdie, baby. Definitely giving myself birdie opportunities out here. I’ve also gone back to my old putter because I feel like that other one’s just a little too light for me, but I’m going to work with it more. Just not today. Oh, I just hit that so hard because I was just hitting those other ones so soft. All right, par. What are we? We’re still one over through three. I think we’re two over. I got to check my scorecard, but I think we’re two over through five. Good. Not great. Honestly, not even good. Hole number six. It’s a par five. And that’s about all I know of it. That’s a weird T. Um, focus. Okay, there’s a really amazing house being built at the end of it. And I’m going to aim down the left edge because of the bunker on the right. And I have an audience right now. So, let’s really hit this. Well, damn it. That is not where I wanted it to go. We had to wait a while. Frick. I’m in the fairway bunker. Frick. All right, that’s fine. We’re in the fairway bunker, but there’s not really much of a lip. So, I’m going to hit my 9inewood and see if that works. That was picked so perfectly clean. I love fairway bunkers. I’m going to say it right now. Wait, where did it just go? Did it go in the other bunker? I don’t think I could reach it. Um, I have always liked fairway bunkers. I don’t know why, but here’s what I’m going to teach you because I’m really good at them. Play it regular. Don’t try and sink your feet in as much. And when you take it back, you’re not turning your whole body. It’s not a big turn, okay? It’s just kind of like armsy, I guess. And that’s it. We have 105 to the pin. Pin is all the way in the back. So, don’t want to play the number. I’m playing just slightly short and I have my pitching wedge in my hand. Oh, I slid right under it. That was so weird. I was kind of sitting up on like this patch of dirt that was just like mud that was dried and I think I just went right underneath it. I don’t know. It was super weird. Great. Should I or should I not buy that house? As if I could afford it. Um, but also I feel like I no longer want to buy a house on a golf course. Not that I ever really did, but now I really don’t because did you guys see that study about houses on golf courses? If you live within like 2 miles of a golf course, you’re like 120 more% 120% more likely to get cancer or something like something crazy. So like pass. Anyways, probably can’t afford that house anyways. Okay, we left this short. So great. That was a really bad shot. Um 56 in hand. And I’m going to try and land it right where the light starts. If you can see what I’m talking about. Sit. Sit. Am I going to learn that they release or am I going to play this entire round without learning that? Don’t know. We have this for par. It’s okay. It’s okay. Wasn’t meant to be. Walking off a par five with a bogey really, really hurts your soul. And I’m wondering now if you guys are seeing why this course ended my career. Um, no. It’s a great course. It’s just I think the greens are really hard to read. Everything slopes from back to front and I’m not leaving myself with uphill putts. I’m leaving myself with these downhill putts that are breaking quite a bit and they’re pretty speedy. So, I don’t know. I should learn that right now and try and finish strong. But we are three over going to hole seven. Par three. Um it’s 153 and I’m going to hit my sixiron and I hope I can get over that little hill of the bunker, which I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. I just chunked it just slightly. Go, go, go. Oh, it’s right at it. Go, go, go. Good kick off the hill. I think it’s good. You need that in slow-mo. Oh, you need it in slow-mo. You mean sometimes I just malfunction? I would say ignore the other two balls because it’s for Instagram, but don’t ignore them because they’re so good. This is my shot though. Can you believe it? This could have gone in the hole. We wouldn’t have even known because we couldn’t see the pinhole. The what? The pinhole. Whatever. Shut up. Okay. For birdie. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. And good night. That is a bird. So now we’re two under through seven hole number eight and she’s still kind of in my way. We are two over now. We got one back. And if we keep playing like this in the way on the way in, we could end even. So let’s just birdie birdie. Let’s have three birdies in a row. That would be a lot of birdies in a row. But that’s okay. We could do it. That was so freaking good. That was right at where that lady was. Thank goodness I waited. That would have killed her. I love when I hit a good drive. Hello, poppers. Look. He says, “Nah, it’s 109 pins in the back, but I need to get it up there cuz it’s a false front.” I’m gonna choke my nine and hit like the punch type of shot like that. Okay, get up there. I hit it kind of chunky. Yep, that was chunky. Chunky. Stay there. Stay there. I think it’s staying, but we’re going to have a little bit of a long putt. Um, we really have a long putt because I chunked it. But I do remember this hole now from when I played it before. I think I birdied it and a girl in my group, we were stuck on this hole for so long because she couldn’t find her ball and then she hit in the water and it just took so long and then we got put on the clock. That is the one thing about professional tournaments. Anyways, let’s make this putt. Oh, settle. Okay, okay, okay. Anytime now. So much for our birdies to end, but let’s just try and make this par putt. Good, good, good par save. Okay, par putt save at least. All right, two over going into the last hole. I would love to make a birdie and finish at least just one over. Last hole of the day. We are currently two over. I would love to birdie this. And there’s water off to the right. And then you could hit through the green. Now, is my driver the smartest shot? Yes, because I hit it straight. Okay, let’s go. Stay there. Stay there. Might be too far. Might be too far. Not positive, but we’ll find it and we’ll hit it again and we’ll go birdie it. Okay, we’re actually fine. I was worried we went through. The guys are hitting into us again, but they said they’re subscribers, so we gave him a pass the first time. I don’t know about the second time. Anyways, it’s like a 100 yards, so I’m going to hit my pitching wedge. came off a little weird. Get up. Get up. Get up. Gosh, what is it about the rough right now? I’m just not getting the full impact of the shot. I don’t know. I don’t know what the deal is, but we’re just in the front of the green, so that’s fine. Got my 56. Let’s chip this in for a birdie to finish the round. I just carried it the whole way. The whole way. What is my deal? What is my deal? Well, I could practice. That would be a good start. I don’t know. I’m just a little aggressive today with my chips. Like some days, most days I’m really good with chipping and I have soft hands and today it’s just like I’m really overpowering it. Downhill breaker to save parang. Not the best way to finish. Not the best round, but I’m excited to be back at Orange Tree. You guys need to come check it out.
