It’s pretty special. Um R best nine hole golf course in Australia. Australia. Top 100 golf course. The only nine holes. Only nine holes in the top 100. Um looks absolutely fantastic. Correct. you know, um I sort of roughly come across it and Scotty Campbell, I did have a look at uh your filming of this course and thought this looks like us. Um looks fantastic. Great day here. Um beautiful course. So it was a little very much country track bought by the current owners. Um Craig Perry redesigned the whole course. Yep. Um, very nice. Very simple clubhouse. You drive, you’ll see into the car park here. It looks straight up the hill to the club. You won’t quite get see it too much. You’ll see is behind me inside you get a view of most of the holes. I think from here I think from here there’s sort of hole number five over across the road because there’s well you got five and six and then you got seven here and then it goes over to there and then nine in front of us but you can see great looking course um two black T’s white T black T’s white T’s um it’s really funny because the white T’s are the shortest all threes all par threes is the shortest most difficult Yep. Um, this is Well, this is where it’s going to be interesting, right? This is the ninth. It is. They saying this is averages 6 something three or something. So, white T’s there, black te’s there, and a bit further back. Yep. Uh, yeah. Nasty. Yep. Come too too long, off. Too short, it’s off. Uh, it looks fantastic in great nick. Absolutely great Nick. I said we haven’t been on the course yet. Um, there was a little bit of rain here. It’s pretty well gone. um little bit of lightning. So, we wanted to make sure that you know that had gone before we started. But, all right, we’re going to fire. It looks great. Yep, mate. We’re going to head out there and um we will try and give you a look from both markers, from the black and the white markers, and show you what it is. But, uh thanks to Luke. Massive thanks. On the on the on the black T, but it’s not like uh it’s not like 500 m holes. Yeah. Well, it’s not like a hole that every uh tea off is a wedge. Correct. There’s definitely you’ll need some think around. Looks like some really tough holes. So, fresh. I’m excited. So am I. So am I. All right, let’s get into it, mate. Mate, check out this. Beautiful. The sun shines out. Um, and here we are. So, we’re on the first on the first off the black. So, we’re going to show you. There is a a very much a difference. It’s interesting. This is the black, the white. The white course is definitely shorter, but we’ve been informed that it’s definitely harder. So, what we’re going to do is we’re going to do an Ambrose off the black in one video and then if you keep an eye on another video, we’re going to have we’re going to do singles off the white. Stable fed, stroke, whatever we want. But yes. Yep. Yep. Show how tough it is. Maybe you do stroke and I’ll do stable. Sounds good. But sounds good. Um, first hole. First hole. 158. Let’s go. 158 from these TE’s. You see 180 to the middle of the green from back further. I’ve been straight down. So, I haven’t I haven’t either, but I’ve got a club. So, here you go. Let’s have a hit. Straight downhill. I mean, I’ve got an eight on. I actually reckon it’s probably not quite enough club. Certainly for uh not warming up and not hitting any balls. I was thinking what’ you say it was 158. 158 playing 148. See, I’m using slope if anybody gets that. Meloi. Um but yes, I’m thinking maybe a Well, the wind feels like it’s helping maybe the tiniest little bit. Maybe at least seven, maybe six. So, Oh, I’m trying to hit uh cuts, mate. I’m just trying to hit the ball, actually. So am I. Uh anywhere near that flag would be awesome, mate. Yep. Anywhere down there would be brilliant. Little bit to the right. Go a little. That’s just right of it. Good job. There was certainly no grass being touched there. So that’s So that was a a knifeyish eight iron. But basically from the clubhouse, I reckon a six. You can see everything. So the clubhouse just being there. Uh Luke’s brilliant. Luke Cannon who’s uh he would be I suppose golf ops. He would be the uh he’d be the manager, let’s say, of the whole place. He’s been brilliant. After after you turn up, they got 15-minute tea times. Come out here, had a little bit of a chat, ran us through each hole, where each tea block is, and just basically make you feel welcome. It’s the only place I’ve ever seen that does that. 15-minute tea times instead of seven or eight or even six, some of them, but seven or eight. Uh 15-minute tea time, so there’s no holdups. It’s cruisy. It’s relaxed. And who wouldn’t want to be in a place like this for a long time. Great strike to the right. Great shot, Richo. All right. So, there’s our Ambrose balls. Yeah, that’s what I think. So, this is very, very nice. We’ve been saying to Gary and Luke, very impressed with the joint already, and we’ve only stepped out into the first hole. Oh, not too bad. Oh, I mean, that’s that’s an easy path for us. Good one. Um, where did you start that one? Uh, probably just inside of that. I reckon you’re right. I reckon probably a little bit closer to where the flag is. So I was probably just inside where the the head of you see the shadow the head of flag. Yep. I reckon you want to go pretty well at it somewhere there. Maybe it’s got to go. I think speedwise I’ve killed it. Yep. That’s um so the greens aren’t overly quick is what they were saying. Yep. Which is uh not a bad thing for us considering I stress over anything quicker than this. So that’s it. It’s very very nice first hole. Richo. Uh made a great first hole. So what do you reckon good for us is for an ambros? Oh I reckon if if we get a couple under we we’d be thinking we’re all right. Yeah. Two or three. Yeah, I think that’ll be good. Yep. It’s like 250 something from where we are here. Um a little bit of a to cover a creek a little bit. It’s about 220 to cover the creek or something like that. A half decent tea shot, mate, would be lovely. Well, hopefully that gets lucky of whatever happens out there. Yep. Whatever. I don’t know. I don’t think that’s what’s happened. I can’t move. Too sweaty. It is. It is. It’s actually very very sweaty. You know, it’s sweaty. Sweaty means cool, doesn’t it? Like, oh, I’ve got a sweaty, you know, I’ve got a real sweaty watch. Crutch? I didn’t I wasn’t expecting anything and then suddenly there was a clearing both sides of the road. Yep. Golf course. Uh I got wedge. Nice. I think it’s got to be a well hit wedge though. Come on. Do you know what you make your effort if you came down here play nine so you could play the black, grab a drink, play white. Yeah. Good call. Yep. Yep. It is different from the the two different markers. And down here you’ve got Byron, Mumbar, Mullen Boomi. You’ve got a couple of courses that are good. Yeah. Go to the beach afterwards. Have a swamp. Now, I reckon reckon about where that leaf is. I reckon inside of that. Yeah, halfway between. Yep. It’s just a matter of getting up over that hill, I reckon. Agreed. But not too much speed. And then when I played Queensland Forsomes, it was that hole in the rain where I went hit a t-shirt off there going, I think I need grip masters. After that, dead set. I just I put an order in for Grip Masters, mate. Come now. the wind’s into uh completely different thing the old grip master. It’s It’s interesting. I’ve never really had I haven’t had them so much on my driver, but I wonder if I miss them on my own a little bit. Maybe. Yeah, like it’s interesting. But eventually I’ll put some back on probably. I mean, I hit it too hard, but I tell you what, that is a woeful putt. Reckon there. Maybe not that far up. I probably started it at the hole, but just got to read a putt properly. Bloody hell. So, we know this is breaking a little bit right to left, but again, that speed up that hill because it’s probably right on a saddle. That’s the only thing I could read. It was dead set on a saddle. The hardest hole in the course to finish. Look at the slopes up there on the on the ninth. Pretty full on over. I got a 58. That breeze is dead. Yep. Again. Just put in the hole, mate. Let’s move on.
