Bentham Golf Course is strengthening its team as part of ongoing growth plans.

The club has appointed Matt Stables as clubhouse manager and promoted Josh Mullen to the role of golf retail manager.

The appointments support Bentham’s expanding golf, events, and stay-and-play business, with on-site accommodation under the Wenningdale Escapes brand seeing increased demand.

Operation director, John Marshall, said: “We’ve had a very strong few years of growth across our golf course and stay-and-play business.

“To continue that momentum into the new year, we’re investing in talented people who can help us take the next step forward.

“Josh and Matt will both play key roles in strengthening our operations and ensuring every player and guest enjoys the best possible experience every time they visit.”

Mr Stables joins the team with a background in hospitality and will focus on growing the club’s events offering while supporting operational expansion.

Mr Mullen, previously assistant bar manager, will lead the day-to-day running of the golf shop, broadening its retail offer and maintaining high standards of service.

Bentham Golf Course continues to position itself as a premier golfing destination in the North West, supported by investment in both people and facilities.
