San Diego State senior Tyler Kowack capped off a strong fall with a one-shot victory at the 2025 Gobbler Amateur, posting rounds of 71–67–71 for a 7-under 209 total at Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.

Kowack, who was named Mountain West Golfer of the Month two weeks back, began the final round with a narrow one-stroke lead at 6-under, just ahead of Canada’s Antoine Jasmin, who had opened the tournament with a superb 67—the lowest round of the week. The two stayed locked in a tight duel through the final day, but Kowack’s steady 71 proved enough. Jasmin slipped to a 73, finishing runner-up at 6-under 210.

The second round had seen Kowack match Jasmin’s opening 67, a score also equaled by Catcher Dahm.

Denver senior Brayden Bozak quietly produced a consistent week with rounds of 71–70–71 to post a solid finish inside the top tier of the leaderboard.

For Kowack, the victory marks his second win of the season, following his triumph at the Marquette Intercollegiate, and moves him from 207th to No. 178 on the AmateurGolf.com Rankings. The senior has now played 16 ranked events in 2025, producing two wins and a top-10 finish at the Mountain West Championship.

Now in its 10th year, the Gobbler Amateur continues as a key stop on the Troon Saguaro Amateur Series, a world-ranked circuit featuring ten events across the 2025–26 season. Sewailo Golf Club, part of the Casino Del Sol Resort, has hosted the championship every year since its inception.

The Series continues with the Coachella Amateur, scheduled for December 15–18 at Terra Lago Golf Club in Indio, California.
