The MOST Controversial Way of SHAPING your Shots #golf #golftips #golfer
This isn’t your typical method of hitting different shot shapes but it can work for some people
.
Gripping the club as normal from a neutral pointing face, turning it to the right can help you to swing on the same direction as where the face is pointing so you swing around yourself
.
Then the opposite thing happens if you point the face to the left, you might feel like you want to swing more on the outside
.
If you then feel like you want to get the club face to match a straight line on the ball parallel to where you want it to go then it should give you the desired shape of shot
.
I am interested to see the comments on this as the last time that I posted this I showed it from down the line and a lot of the comments were suggesting that it was a common thing and that everybody new about it. For some reason I have the feeling that people will be saying that this is the opposite as to what it should be on this video
.
Granted this won’t work for everyone and some people will see better results by the traditional method of aiming the face left for a draw and swinging around yourself or right for a fade and cutting across it
.
It’s ultimately the same thing but it’s just two different visual ways that one might work better from one player to the next

To play a draw the face has to be open to the target at impact as that determines where the ball is going to start, you just have to swing more out past where the face is pointing to see the draw spin. – opposite thing for a fade
Don't forget to takeaway inside and swing in to out for a draw (swing to the right of aim line for RH)
And takeaway outside and swing out to in (swing to the left of aim line for RH)
You can also just aim left or right with the face square to your feet and just adjust your swing path.
3rd cheat option, I think Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson have mentioned this: grip the face slightly closed or open and keep it that way, then just move your feet to aim the face where you want the ball to start.
Gripping closed for a draw and open for fade.
Open face is a slice
??
Hmmm wonder why I hit more draws with a neutral face or closed and slice and fade with a open?
Pure evil👹
Slice, slice, and slice
Wrong. Face should always be square and you work the ball with swing path.
Nah nah nah
This is Alex eliot golf shit
Club path!!!! 😂
Bros ruining swings with this one
This has to be rage bait
This is 100% correct, the ball has to start right if you want a draw on target so the face has to be open at impact. And vice versa. Anything different your alignment is probably terrible and you have no idea where the ball is actually starting.
this helps a little but if you are really trying to up your game by learning to shape shots i’d get a lesson first, also experiment different swing paths 💥( but of course have and maintain a main swing path that is for the regular shot)💥that is what helped me by far the most- changing the angle of your club face won’t do to much and will eventually lead to defects in your swing⛳️
That noise!
Don't watch these kinds of videos, set you up to fail.
How drunken is this person?
Open face to draw it ?!?!? Sounds like a recipe for an open-faced shit sandwich.
Folks if it works for you, it works for you. If this is something you want to try, try it. Everybody has a different swing. Remember, there are no pictures on scorecards.
Average HC in this comment section has to be upwards of 18
For me, club face is close to get a draw
👍👍👍👍
haha no way
I have to close to hit straight
Wrong
huh?
Face doesn't determine shape. Path does. Face determines direction.
Open is slice!?
오잉? 나는 반대로 이해하고 있었네.
unless you’re striking the ball perfectly these tips are the other way around
Swing path is probably the most important. Leaving the club face open will slice the ball, and closing the club face will cause it to fly low and left. Best way is to keep club face square and hit from the inside to draw the ball, and outside to fade. Both achieved by altering takeaway on the swing

Don’t do this
Terrible video
Depending on the swing path….
I definitely am NOT hitting those shot shapes with those face starting angles lol…
Something seems wrong with these instructions.
