The Skins Game makes its return this Friday after a 17-year hiatus, with the event stacked with four men all heavily involved at September’s Ryder Cup.

Ahead of the event, GolfWRX talked with Pro Shop’s Co-Founder and President, Chad Mumm, about The Skins Game’s triumphant return. Check it out here.

Here’s all the details you need to know to enjoy the event on Friday morning.

Who’s competing?

Xander Schauffele, Keegan Bradley, Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood.

How does it work?

In this format, each hole is worth one point, or “skin.” The player who scores the lowest on a hole wins that skin (the point for that hole).

If two or more players tie for the lowest score on a hole, no one wins the skin and it carries over to the next hole. That means the next hole is now worth two skins. This rollover continues until a single player wins a hole outright.

For this edition of The Skins Game, there’s also a “reverse purse.” Instead of starting at $0, Schauffele, Fleetwood, Bradley, and Lowry will each begin the event with $1 million.

“The most notable new element we are bringing to the classic Skins Game is this notion of the reverse purse, which came out of a conversation that I had with a player competing in this Skins Game about how to create more stakes in the moment for the guys out on the course. We think the twist of having the players each starting with $1 million and having their totals go up and down as Skins are won and lost will make the pressure in the moment feel even more tangible than it would with them all starting at zero.” – Chad Mumm

Where is it being held?

The 2025 Skins Game will be held at Panther National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A course designed by Justin Thomas.

Who is on the broadcast team?

Andrew Catalon, Colt Knost, and Dan Rapaport.

How to watch?

The event takes place this Friday at 9 a.m. ET exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
