before he pulls the trigger is he gets in there and then cranks that setup with that hip bump. Now, it’s very visible from like when I stand behind him like I was. You can literally see him go like this. He’s in there and it’s here. Now, that serves more than one purpose. Exactly. You just you just pointed it out right there this week. And what I want you guys all to do is hammer these checkpoints home. This guy has been doing the same thing better now for, you know, a decade and a half with me. And we are literally, you know, at the point where, hey, you know what? It’s it’s it’s it’s paid off. We’ll get to the tour that way. That’s what we do. And and here’s the big thing. I want you to when you watch Cameron here shortly, you’re going to pay attention to a couple things. Feel free you guys watch a couple from that angle, then walk around to the face on view. They call this the caddy view or the face on view. Why? The caddy always sits with the bag out here. So caddy view or face on view. Where you guys are over there is the down the line view. I either like to go right down the line of the feet or I like to go right perpendicular to the golf ball and the body just to watch those two angles because you can see ball position with the stance. Here’s the big thing. We talked about that pressure shift, right? We talked about how when you set up correctly this morning that when you turn your upper body gets right over the inside of your back foot. Pressure loads on the inside of the foot. Last thing, why the heel? We’re up on the balls of the feet. The pocket goes back. that goes right to the heel because that pocket goes back. So, it just rides right along the inside. He’s going to show you that. But one thing I want you guys to to learn is the anchor point of the swing, the anchor point. This lead hip, okay? When I bump my hips forward. My coach always called it, Todd Zones always told me that this was the anchor point. If I had a ball against me and a wall here and I move this way, the ball slides down to my feet. If I bump up against the ball and I turn my right cheek back into my left, well, guess what? Not only did I get more range of motion, I hold that ball up against the wall. But if I have that spine angle, you guys, in the right spot, I’m not leaning into the wall with everything to hold it there. I’m still getting my lead shoulder back to my right foot, which gets me that nice big coiled upper body motion and loads that pressure in my right foot. But what I want you guys to see from that view back there, watch him play golf underneath him and not around him. All that is is him being tilted out over the golf ball and swinging from the impact zone. Whether it’s a driver or whether it’s an iron, it’s always under his body and not way back around his body. Okay. The next part of that is going to be then walking over to this side here, watching his hip bump, watching his process when he does it, and then seeing that anchor point. line it up with a bush back there or something on the wall. You’ll see there’s very little movement side to side, but a lot of rotation. Okay, beautiful. Now guys, listen to this too. You see the last thing that he does before he pulls the trigger is he gets in there and then cranks that setup with that hip bump. Okay, now it’s very visible from like when I stand behind him like I was, you can literally see him go like this. He’s in there and it’s here. Now, that serves more than one purpose. Exactly. You just you just pointed it out right there. It’s Listen, if I’m praying and the hands are in the middle of my body, my shoulders are square. What happens when my right hand reaches lower on the grip? My shoulders open. What happens when ball position starts to get more forward? Later this afternoon, we’re hitting drivers. Well, guess what? We reach even more forward for that ball. Our shoulders open up even more. Why don’t we complete our turn? Why do we hit big cuts out to the right? We preset that. Okay. So, what’s happening is he’s not just squaring up his shoulders. He’s using that hip bump to adjust himself and square up his shoulders, which is also initiating his turn. Okay? And it’s also setting the train track of his golf swing to be right down the line. One of the things that we do with all of our players as well, guys, besides having checkpoints, Keep going, brother. Besides having the checkpoints for on the inside of the right foot, you know, we’ll hang the hands down and see if these palms are matching to make sure our shoulders are square. So, you can see he’s squared up his shoulders. Now, he has the ability to make that turn. Now, what he just did, look at that, guys. Same result, right? He just did one of our go-to drills right there. That right there is the set, turn go. Okay, the drills I was doing earlier when I was showing you guys with the wedge, I was doing the set go where I set it and I just go right through. That was applying the turn to that set position. And that’s a great way to do two things. It’s a great way to own your set position. And it’s a great way then to feel what it’s like to turn your body and not have the arms and hands do anything else, but just turn and hit it. And you can see how, you know, he could literally go play around a golf today like that and shoot an easy 67 doing the same thing. You know, it’s you see that pause at the top, guys. By the way, you know what that pause at the top is? It’s the culmination of everything getting back there together and then descending together. You know, you put the car forward. Key words, and then it goes in reverse. Doesn’t happen at once. And and that, by the way, is a phenomenal drill. We call it the Hideki drill. You know, it’s a great way for you to feel that position of strength at the top of your swing and feel like everything gets back there together and then transitions together. Okay? So very very important to be able to have the ability to do that. At Forzac Golf, we take a lot of pride in having developed some of the best and most consistent golf swings on the planet.
