CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois Men’s Golf announced the signing of Jamen Sanders to its 2026 class on Monday.
“We are so excited to welcome Jamen to the Saluki family,” Head Coach Justin Fetcho said. “Jamen eats, breathes, and sleeps golf.”
Sanders will come to SIU from Goose Creek, S.C., where he put together several impressive performances as an amateur, placing fourth at the Donald Ross Junior in 2024 and eighth at the North & South Junior in 2025. He was also a medalist at the SCISA 4A High School Championship and ranked #148 on the National Junior Golf Scoreboard for all 2026 prospects, fifth overall in the state of South Carolina.
“We know Jamen will continue to gain experience and get even stronger both physically and mentally before arriving on campus in August,” Fetcho said. “We believe his best golf is still in front of him, and we look forward to him making an immediate impact on our program.”
