The New York Times, Donald Trump’s 17 year old granddaughter, Kai Trump, was just granted an exemption to play in the final LPGA golf tournament of the season. But the New York Times didn’t like that quote. The number 461 ranked junior golfer was given a coveted sponsor exemption because of her last name and her massive social media following. Quote, just because you can does not mean you should. Yes, Kai probably got the opportunity because of her last name, but it was one round of golf and it brings a lot of attention to a struggling game. But we don’t remember the New York Times asking those same questions about Hunter Biden, who was appointed to the board of Ukrainian Energy Company making almost 100 grand a month when his dad was vice president.     That's literally the point of a sponsor's exemption….to choose someone with a big following to get more veiws and clicks for the….say it with me …SPONSOR. Exemptions have never been about getting the best golfer.
