Get your clubs ready! There’s a huge new indoor golfing space coming to the AFL Max building near Adelaide Airport.

The 1500 square metre venue will sit inside the AFL Max warehouse bringing a mix of advanced golf tech, family entertainment, and high-performance training facilities.

Venue manager Mia McMenamin said the Adelaide site will be the third Golf Park in Australia. “We have a golf park in Sanctuary Lakes in Melbourne and also another in Hobart. This will be the first in Adelaide.”

The venue says it will be the state’s biggest indoor golf spot. Mia adds that it will also be “one of the biggest in Australia.”

It will be split into three distinct zones. There will be seven ‘avid golfer bays’, all backed by a mural of St Andrews’ 18th hole. Each bay will feature Garmin R10 launch monitors, 42-inch screens with real-time data, and a premium setup that creates the feel of a true driving range.

There will also be six family entertainment bays that use GolfJoy technology. The setup offers interactive games and themed challenges. “It’s so much more than golf. It’s really a golf playground,” Mia says. “We want this to be a place where even people that maybe don’t like golf can learn and have fun.”

The venue’s four high-performance simulators will be an Australian first. They combine Foresight Falcon overhead technology with PuttView. The system uses laser guidance to allow players to finish putts on a real putting surface.

“For a golf head, the Sims are going to be one of the biggest sellers,” Mia says. “There are over 25,000 different ways you can finish your putt. It’s unreal.”

The layout will include a lounge with an indoor-outdoor feel. Food will be supplied by the AFL Max commercial kitchen, with QR ordering from each bay. A capsule cafe and bar will service the space.

Mia said the focus is on building a strong local connection. “I think it’s just the main thing we’re going for. Community. All of our suppliers are Australian. We want a massive community.”

Golf Park Adelaide is eying a grand opening launch of mid-February coinciding with epic golf and music festival LIV Golf. Membership options are also in development. General visitors will be welcome without a membership.
