what is forearm rotation forearm rotation very simply put if we were simplifying this movement here would be that the right arm would move in this direction for the right hander and the left arm would move in this direction so effectively the palms if we were starting with our thumbs facing up would move this way in the backswing and that way in the follow through now there is a misconception out there that you should not let the golf club roll and move and rotate throughout the swing so what does that mean well if i set up to the golf ball there are a lot of players who assume that they need to keep the face straight facing the golf ball for as long as possible in the backswing and in the follow through
