Finland’s Sami Valimaki takes a two-shot lead into Sunday at the 2025 RSM Classic, the final event of the PGA Tour season.
The 27-year-old is chasing his first PGA Tour title on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club, and he’ll know exactly what’s at stake: not only a two-year exemption and a winner’s cheque north of $1 million, but also a career-defining breakthrough.
Valimaki, a two-time winner on the DP World Tour, leads by two shots over Michael Thorbjornsen and Patrick Rodgers with 18 holes to play in Georgia.
This week also marks the end of the FedExCup Fall, and with it, the last chance for players to secure status for next season.
The top 100 players in the FedExCup Fall Standings will lock up their PGA Tour cards for 2026—unless already exempt—making Sunday a high-pressure day for those hovering near the bubble.
