Tatsuya Imai’s Scouting Report #mlb #hotstove #tatsuyaimai #baseball

There might be a pitcher I like better than anybody else in the top three. Tatsuya Imi is coming over. He’s a short righty. Short rides don’t have great outcomes. We talked about those with uh with other Japanese people. We talked about his Yamamoto when he got his big deal. He doesn’t have elite strikeout mass walk rates like U Darvish or Shoani or the top guys when they came over. His are more like Masahiro Tanaka. What’s so bad about this guy? He has a flat fast ball. If you’re looking at just IBB, it’s no good. He has a 13.5 in IVB on his fatball. Well, guess what? He has a 20 degree arm angle. He is 5 foot nothing and his arm is out there with a 20°ree arm angle. Now, let’s compare his vert and his horizontal with only people with his arm angle. What do we get? Joe Ryan. Guess what else he throws? He throws the weird backup slider that Treya Savage throws. You know what? He does have a great splitter. And you know what was just thrown more often this postseason than ever before in any postseason by a factor of three? Splitters. I think he might is like a good fit for the Giants. I think he’s a a decent fit for like the Yankees and the Blue Jays. We’ve talked about needing to spend needing to spend money but not wanting to maybe spend the whole frra deal. Anybody who is turned off by wanting to give Frervandez $200 million is going to be interested in mine.

  1. Everyone who says dodgers won't get him it coping so hard. If you had to bet money on this, dodgers are the safest bet, let's not kid ourselves.

  2. He's listed at 5'11, how is that five foot 'nothing'? He's literally an inch away from being 6 feet…

  3. Angels. And i hope he only listens to Kikuchi or else that terrible coaching staff is going to tank his development. If the angels get him and Murakami, that proves that the Angels are trying to recreate Shohei Ohtani in the Japanese aggregate

  4. The Dodgers are not only looking to win next year, but they are looking to win the next 8 years. So I would not be surprised if they sign Imai because although they don't have immediate need at starting pitching, he may fit your long-term goal.

  5. “He’s short so he’s not going to be successful” is a good way to miss great talent. If that’s all it takes to run a successful YouTube channel, I need to change my profession.

Not like we just watched a “short righty” absolutely dominate a World Series.

  6. When this dude said the guy had a 13.5 inch, then he hesitates slightly, all the girls were at the edge of their seats. Fags too.

  7. How can you give Valdez that much money? Nobody will for a pitcher that throws temper tantrum’s and throws 100 mph fastballs at his catchers chest trying to hit him when the call was for a breaking ball.
