President Donald Trump does a lot more than just build ballrooms, as he’s teamed up with legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus to revamp the golf courses at Joint Base Andrews.

Trump is looking for help from Nicklaus to help spice up the courses, as he took an aerial tour of the Courses at the Base, and said, “We’re going to do some work” there, and to other parts of the base.

“We’re doing some fix-up of the base, which it needs. We’re gonna try and reinstitute the golf courses. I’m meeting with the greatest Jack Nicklaus,” Trump told reporters outside the White House before jumping on Marine One that was headed to Joint Base Andrews. “He’s involved in trying to bring their recreational facility back.”

The base sits about 15 miles from the White House and houses Air Force One, and is getting an experienced design crew with the help of Nicklaus.

Of note, Nicklaus owns a business that provides golf course design services. “Nicklaus Design, recognized as the world leader in golf course design, has created over 420 courses worldwide, open for play in 45 countries and 40 U.S states,” the company’s website states.

“For 50 years, the mission of Nicklaus Companies has been to enhance the golf experience and to deliver quality branded products and services on a global basis that mirror the high standards established in the career and life of its Founder, Jack Nicklaus.”

Nicklaus is a legendary golfer who has won 18 majors and 73 times on the PGA Tour.

“Jack Nicklaus once commented about team competitions in sports: ‘The most important decision you make is who you select as your partner,'” the Design website states.

“The strategy for the Nicklaus brands is to partner with the industry leader in each market segment or product category. As a result, the Nicklaus brands have enjoyed successful and long-term relationships around the world, some now eclipsing 50 years.” Nicklaus design crews have partnered with 26 companies.

Trump said on Saturday that the Andrews base “was a great place that’s been destroyed over the years through lack of maintenance.”

The president added, “And we’re looking at other things over at Andrews.“ Trump is an avid golfer, and his granddaughter, Kai, is also entering the golf world, as she just made her LPGA Tour debut at The Annika this month.

“Just don’t get nervous. Try my best not to,” said Kai Trump, talking about the advice that came from Trump before getting out there on the course.
