PGA Professional Matt Trimber explains when and how to regrip your golf clubs. To have your new grips installed by a Certified Fitter, stop in to your local Golf Galaxy store:
So, how often should you regrip your clubs?
“A good rule of thumb is at least once a year,” Trimber says. “Some golfers prefer to regrip in the spring to start each season fresh. Keep in mind, there are other factors to consider, such as how often you play, or if you wear a glove, and the weather.
“Some signs that your grips need to be replaced include noticeable wearing, cracks, shiny spots, smooth surfaces and hard surfaces. Even if your grips pass the eye test, you’ll still want to consider how they feel. If your grips begin to get slick, they need to be replaced.”
