I finally cut out the hitting strip and while it turned out decent, I used 2 sided tape under it and when I catch fat iron shots I find that I’m pulling the strip up with the hit

It’s ez tee hybrid with a 3/4” mma mat under it, maybe I should just super glue it to the mat and just replace both when I need to? Considered 2 small brad nails front/back that seemingly would be impossible to hit since it would be outside the hit zone.

Thanks for any input

I screwed mine into the subfloor with wood screws and washers – nothing else would keep it from moving

Is the two sided tape you’re using carpet tape or just regular two sided tape?

Maybe try some CA glue and activator

I’m assuming since it’s coming out it isn’t very dense like the better ones. I’d save your elbows and increase the real feel quality by investing in a thicker strip, like country club elite. If I’m wrong about that, my apologies

I used double sided carpet tape from Walmart, and it’s nearly impossible to move. It’s taped directly to concrete.

  6. Wood screws and large Velcro for the floor. Velcro stick to the hitting strip

I’m currently researching a polycarbonate board that I can stick the Velcro to underneath and then glue the turf to the board for when it’s time to replace it. To me it seems most sturdy based on my research! However this week I tried really heavy 2” Velcro and put cardboard and 150lbs of sand on top of it for 24 hours before hitting. If it doesn’t stay i’m going poly board
