Double-win comes as the luxurious World Top 100-ranked Golf Resort prepares to launch its own TV channel, celebrating its position as Mauritius’ premier golf destination
(Bel Ombre, Mauritius) – Heritage Resorts & Golf, a World Top 25 Golf Resort featuring two DP World Tour hosting courses, has further cemented its growing global reputation with a standout performance at the 2025 World Golf Awards. La Réserve Golf Links, was honoured as the Indian Ocean’s Best Golf Course, while Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort claimed the coveted title of World’s Best Golf Hotel.
La Réserve Golf Links, the first and only contemporary links course in the region, opened in 2023. An experience of pure drama, this exhilarating course offers far-reaching views over tropical bays, sandy beaches and the ocean. Designed by acclaimed course architect Peter Matkovich, with the links expertise of Open Champion Louis Oosthuizen, it is inspired by the wild open spaces of the great seaside links, and plays hand-in-hand with nature, mindful of its location alongside a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort’s refined escape combines elegant architecture with fine dining across a sumptuous choice of restaurants. It defines indulgence with its authentic spa treatments and long stretches of pristine beaches, where you can while away the hours at an exclusive beach club. Directly connected to Heritage Golf Club, walk or ride on a golf car between clubhouse and hotel.
This latest accolade for La Réserve Golf Links follows last year’s triumph, when it was crowned the World’s Best New Golf Course 2024. The recognition cements its position as one of the game’s most exciting modern designs and the first in the African region to be awarded GEO Certified® Development status for sustainable design and construction.
“At Heritage Golf Club, we’re shaping the future of golf in the Indian Ocean,” said Ryan Dodds, Head of Golf Management at Projects. “With sustainability, authenticity, and world-class design at our core, our goal is clear – to set a new benchmark for golf in the region.
“Being recognised among the world’s finest golf resorts only strengthens our resolve to make Mauritius a must-play destination for international golf travellers seeking truly exceptional experiences.”
These latest accolades also coincide with the launch of the resort’s innovative and new Heritage Golf TV Channel, an immersive platform that showcases one of the island’s most breathtaking golf destinations. Combining cinematic footage, course insights and tour player, guest and visitor testimonials, the channel brings the destination to life for both in-resort guests and online via a dedicated YouTube platform.
Axelle Mazery, Chief Brand & Communication Officer at parent company ER Hospitality, commented: “We believe golf is more than a sport – it’s an experience shaped by nature, community, and emotion. This new TV channel is our way of bringing that spirit to life, inviting audiences around the world to feel the beauty of Bel Ombre and the energy that makes Heritage Golf Club truly unique.”
In December, La Réserve Golf Links will also host the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open for the second time, welcoming an international field led by defending champion, John Parry, and Heritage Resorts & Golf ambassadors Marcel Siem and Nicolas Colsaerts.
