Here is the video. I used The Grint. Made sure I was on the correct tee box. The hole is 530 yards. The pin was in the front. The approach shot was 186 yards to the pin. Therefore, I think the drive was approximately 330 yards. Insane shot. WE WANT BRAD DALKE ON THE PGA TOUR!

He has played on the PGA tour. It didn’t go well

A 330 yard drive to a relatively open landing area is really not outrageously impressive. Good shot sure but not PGA tour level by any means.

When you’ve played in the final rounds of the Us Am and the Masters, that level of pressure doesn’t hit you quite the same

Incredible shot. He said it’s the most nervous he’s ever been over a ball and he played in the Masters, US Open, and multiple US Am’s. Said it’s the best drive he’s ever hit.

He tried to make it professionally, that didn’t go well for him. He was a better golfer at that time than he is now. Yes, he’s a good golfer. No, he’s not nearly good enough to make a living on the PGA Tour.

Dalke is insanely good, and he can absolutely play with PGA Tour players on a shot-by-shot basis. He could even beat them over 18 holes but it’s generally gonna require his A game and their B or lower games, and the more holes (so 36 to make a cut, and 72 for a full tourney, and then every week for the entire season to keep a card) the less and less likely it becomes that he’s successful.

With Youtube and GG he doesn’t have to grind for a paycheck, one bad shot over 72 holes isn’t the difference between making money and not for the week. Would like to see him do US Open Qualifying and Q-School stuff though

Also 18 at Payne’s is downhill, so yeah great drive but it’s a tad inflated distance-wise

Edit: it’s not downhill he just hits it very far

Bro. He’s great and is like a +8 or some nonsense but still the level above on the tour is just otherworldly. People don’t understand just how good tour players are.

No point in labeling a spoiler when the title is the spoiler.

Oh fuck the guy blades it into the water at the end yikes

  10. What yall are missing, both the ones who say he could play on tour and the ones poohpooh’ing the idea, is the tour is a grind. Unless you’re one of the top 20 guys in the world it’s a year in and year out grind just to keep a card. Winning gets you a 2 year exemption, but outside of the top 20 or so guys there’s not many guys competing week in and week out in a position to win. And this isn’t even counting the constant travel.

Brad absolutely has the talent to play on tour. You aren’t a runner up in the US am without the talent. And he’s likely a better golfer now than he was this based on old swing videos. He’s much more mechanically sound and **much** longer than he was at the peak of his amateur career.

What separates the guys on tour vs. the guys grinding away on mini tours and even the korn ferry is the space between the ears and the love of the grind. You have to eat, sleep, and breathe that life and be fully bought in.

Brad is able to be home most nights, make more money than almost every korn ferry tour player, and relax.
