ABOUT SGGT
SGGT is known for its unique, detailed 4, 6, 8, PW iron fittings at our flagship Edinburgh and Chesterfield studios. Where as many fitters use only 7 iron to fit an iron set, SGGT goes through the bag to find you the best fit for your game.
Recently, a customer said he thought SGGT offered the “World’s Best Iron Fitting” at our flagship Edinburgh and Chesterfield studios. He challenged us to find anywhere else in the world that offered all this in iron fittings:
• Fitting across set 4, 6, 8 irons & PW. Not just a 7 iron.
• Completely brand independent so you’re guaranteed unbiased advice
• Largest heads/shaft selection in Europe. We have the biggest matrix.
• Premium balls – ProV1s etc instead of range balls.
• Your choice of grip – We’ll put your preferred grip on the clubs you’re testing.
• An opportunity to test off mats & grass, indoor & outdoor during the fitting. It’s the only way to see the true ball flight and test turf interaction. Plus you still get the benefits of our Trackman launch monitors.
We haven’t found anywhere else yet. So, is SGGT the “World’s Best Iron Fitting?”. We’d be genuinely curious to know so please do get in touch.
Please Note: There are regional service variations offered at our Netherlands studios. Please contact them for details.

Stricken ZXI irons. They look amazing. They feel fantastic. They cut through the grass better than any other iron in here. There’s a reason that rider cupers and major winners are playing these irons. And there’s a reason they are one of our best sellers. Let’s get into it. So, Shrixen ZXi irons. In this range, you have three models. You’ve got a seven, a five, and a four. And they get more forgiving as they go down the numbers. We’ll start with the seven. So, the seven has that tour preferred look. You have Shane Lowry, JJ Spawn, and Straa using this in some form or another. We’ll get into that in a little bit, but the technology behind this one, you have I forgot calling that is their impact forging. Um, pure frame. Um, that’s just a little bit technology in the back, just increasing feel, uh, a little bit more stability and a bit more control across the three models as well. and all of them. Why we talk about stricks and iron so much is that sole. Um you’ve got the the Tour VT sole there. It’s a combination of leading edge bounce and trailing edge relief. When we fit these here at SGT and we go out onto the grass, you’ve got that kind of moment of discovery where the light bulb goes off. These feel amazing through the turf. And I would implore anyone going to get fitted for these is hit them off grass because that’s where you’re really going to tell the difference. Um going into ZXI 5, slightly bigger version. Um same kind of feel. So this is still that kind of solid uh single piece forging. You’ve got a little bit of main frame technology on the back. That’s just adding a little bit of forgiveness in there. Uh one degree stronger in loft that makes blending between the two of them really easy. Uh you don’t have to manipulate loft too much. You’ve still got that VSO between all of them. So the turf interaction is the same. Um, you see a lot of guys blending these and I kind of teased who was using ZXI7s. So, you’ve got Shane Lowry, Ryder Cuppper. He has the ZXIs and the four and the five iron. Then, he goes into these six through pitching wedge. Uh, JJ Spawn has the five and the four iron only and he goes five through pitching wedge in ZXI7. And Sep Straa has a similar to to Lowry, he’s got the four and the five in the ZXI5. but he only goes from six to 9 iron in the ZXI7. He’ll play his wedges below that. I’ve got ZedX ii7s. I play these. I’m playing a lot of Lynx golf. I find that sole just unreal through the turf. It’s it’s incredible. Um the feel, the performance. I’ve got a little bit of help through the turf, firm turf, um without digging way too much. Going on to ZedX i4. Now, this is this is the fastest. Um, it’s got the most kind of MOI technology, moment of inertia technology. So, it’s the most forgiving. It’s a little bit stronger in loft again. So, the 6iron, 28 and 27 in the seven and five, respectively. This is 25.5 in the 6iron. So, um, it’s it’s going to go a little bit faster anyway. Uh, and it’s a hollow body iron, so it doesn’t quite have the same feel as these guys, but it’s a lot more powerful. If you’re a guy that kind of scoops it, a girl that kind of scoops it a little bit and needs that flight to come down, h these are a really good option. Um, all three have that visil and that’s Stricken’s kind of USP and that’s why we do so many of these. That’s why they’re one of our biggest sellers. So, what makes these so good and feel so good? It’s the forging process. Single piece Japanese forging. People can kind of talk about Mizuno is that kind of nothing feels like a Mazuno. I think these feel better. I’m a little bit biased because I play them. Um, but they should be in that same conversation of feel, quality, and Japanese kind of craftsmanship. I cannot stress enough um about the the stricks and irons and and testing them. When you’re testing them, make sure you test them off grass. You won’t realize how good a stricks and iron actually is until you feel that go through the ground and how that ball’s going to react. So, make sure when you get fitted, you’ve got somewhere you can test off grass. So, like Lowry, like Straa, like JJ Spawn, these irons are perfect to blend. Um whether that be a more forgiving longer iron or a spinnier, shorter iron. I’ve already said that wherever you go and get fitted for these, you need to try them off grass. Most people, most fitting centers will have the seven iron. Uh and that’s better than no fitting. We will fit you on 4, 6, 8, and pitching wedge. and see exactly where that blending would take place. So, in summary on ZXI, they look great. They feel phenomenal and they cut through the grass uh better than most irons in here. Um, come and get fitted. Come to one of our studios and see how they would perform for you. I love mine. Let’s see if you love yours. [Music]

Love the tech & design on the Zxi series but in two different fitting sessions found the Zxi5 to be lower launching & spinning when compared to and equivalent iron. Might be my high 70s swing speed with 7 iron but couldn't get decent launch numbers. They feel great on center and slight heel strikes but I went MP 245s that showed better launch numbers.
Like you mentioned, if you are in for a fit the ZXis are definitely worth a try.
💯% agree – these feel and perform amazingly well, and look fantastic 🥰 – even a weekend hacker like me can get away with playing the ZXi7 when combined with the right shaft (another reason to visit you guys given the options you have available ant the skill of the team to help identify the best options for each golfer) 👍🏽
