Such different players, I would more compare Wemby to KG, young slim Sheed than compare him to Shaq.

They know they’re just riling up the big man. He’d sit back and let Wemby shoot as many threes as he wanted to. That’s already a win for Shaq on D. Then he’d post up and destroy him. Wemby might get a block or two but he’d be flying all over the court after Shaq bumped him and just like everyone in the league where Shaq was in his prime , Wemby would stop guarding him, and they would bring in a center wise job it would be to use all six fouls. Remember them elbows Shaq was throwing off Mutumbo's nose in the finals? He'd hit Wemby with one of those bows and Wemby would start questioning his sexuality and whether or not he should transition into the WNBA
Shaq was not out there humbling Yao or Hakeem, and Wemby is getting bigger – @ 30lbs more muscle since last season – so he's just 20lbs shy of Hakeem. Wemby is more athletic, faster, can dribble, great lateral movement after training with Hakeem, and a solid 3 point shooter compared to Yao. His closest approximation is probably Hakeem. If he stays healthy and adds even a bit more muscle, Shaq would have more trouble with him than he had with Hakeem, and he definitely had trouble with Hakeem. No one could shut Shaq down – so he would get his points and rebounds, but it would never be the steamroller Shaq likes to imply and there would be a good chance Wemby would outdo him as Hakeem did. Maybe not quite this season, but if he gets even a little bigger next season and stays healthy, he would almost certainly eclipse Hakeem in terms of performance against Shaq.
