Victor Perez has become the latest PGA Tour player to make the switch to LIV Golf, signing with Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC ahead of the 2026 season.

The 33 year old Frenchman, who earned his PGA Tour card via the DP World Tour in 2023, represents the first new recruit to the breakaway circuit for the upcoming 2026 campaign. Perez will join forces with Kaymer, Richard Bland, and Adrian Meronk at Cleeks GC, filling the vacancy left by Frederik Kjettrup, who was released after the 2025 season concluded.

The former PGA standout has praised the sport’s recent expansion, especially following LIV’s arrival – despite significant upheaval and divisions that may be resolved in the near future. It comes as a former Ryder Cup captain made a decision on his future after his LIV Golf relegation.

“Joining Cleeks Golf Club for the 2026 season feels like joining golf’s next great chapter, as this club continues to push boundaries, perform at the highest level, and bring fresh energy and vision to the game,” Perez said.

“The sport’s growth has been incredible, and LIV Golf’s innovation and energy are driving it forward.”, reports the Mirror US.

“I’m excited to be part of that momentum and can’t wait to get started in Riyadh.”

Captain Kaymer is equally pleased to have Perez on his team. “There’s been tremendous interest in joining Cleeks Golf Club, and we’re thrilled to welcome Victor as the final piece of our roster,” he said.

“With LIV Golf driving innovation in the game, we’re focused on building not just a stronger team but also contributing to building the next generation of global golf stars. Victor embodies the precision and passion that will help us forge that path.”

Perez is scheduled to play in this week’s RSM Classic on the PGA Tour, battling to keep his tour card in the season’s closing event.

He’s currently positioned 108th in the FedExCup Fall standings.

Nevertheless, Perez is anticipated to face suspension from the PGA Tour because of his impending move to LIV.

Perez heads to the Middle East with an impressive track record on the DP World Tour. His achievements in the U.S. haven’t been quite as successful, however.

A three-time winner on the Wentworth-based circuit, Perez most recently claimed victory at the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links.

He will make his first appearance for Cleeks GC when the LIV season begins with its opening event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in February.
