The Ladies Professional Golf Association has announced that the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G will be moving to Maketewah Country Club in 2026.

“The Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G has quickly built a reputation as one of the more popular events on the LPGA Tour, continuing the long and cherished history of professional golf in the greater Cincinnati region,” executive director of the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G Michael Taft said in a statement. “We thank TPC River’s Bend for hosting a tremendous event in 2025 and we look forward to working with the team at Maketewah Country Club to take the tournament to new heights beginning in spring, 2026.”

Kenwood Country Club, in Madeira, hosted the championship in 2022 and 2023 before undergoing renovations that prevented it from hosting in 2024. TPC River’s Bend hosted the event in Maineville each of the last two years.

The tournament is also moving around on the calendar and will now take place from May 11-17, one week after a local qualifier for the U.S. Open.

Charley Hull was the 2025 champion after a dramatic final hole sealed a one-shot victory over Jeeno Thitikul.

Maketewah, located in Cincinnati’s Bond Hill neighborhood, is one of the premier golf courses in the state, with its current location and name tracing back to a Donald Ross design in 1929. It is a perennial U.S. Open qualifying site and hosted the Western Golf Association’s Womens’ Western Junior Championship earlier this year. The course underwent a renovation in 2023, led by architect Brian Silva.

“Maketewah Country Club is honored to host the LPGA Tour and the Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G beginning in 2026 during a prime location on the golf and sports calendar in mid-May,” former Maketewah Country Club President Sarah Sparks Herron said. “Women’s professional golf has a long history in Cincinnati, and we look forward to helping to write the next chapter and elevating women’s golf in Cincinnati at Maketewah Country Club.”
