[Music] [Music] we were highly recommended the Ritz Carlton on Half Moon Bay and we’re so excited to experience this gorgeous property and it did not disappoint the ocean So Close by feels like a castle we pull up in the m760 and unfortunately the weather did not cooperate I was probably for the whole trip most excited about Mavericks I had a Excursion planned to go out and watch some of these guys ride these huge waves I think you can plan as many details and an amazing trip but one thing we can’t control is weather it was very unfortunate but luckily Jeff was such a great guy and sat down with us at the hotel and explained what we were missing out the way I go out and surf Mavericks I’ll paddle out into the lineup and I’ll just paddle up and over a couple sets just to feel the power and feel the nature of that storm that was created in the atmosphere smashed into the ocean these big waves come out of this storm and they’ve hit the at Mavericks it’s a mountain of water like hundreds of thousands of tons of water oh my God it looks like a roller coaster as you’re catching away you want to keep your heart rate really calm really low so that you can perform at the highest level that you need to you’re saying that you need to tame your adrenaline in a way that you need to control your heart rate whereas a lot of athletes would say that they would actually go the other direction it’s like watching a a golfer coming down the stretch and he’s in contention and he’s all amped up and he turns on a ball and just launches it over the green he’s got too much power everything relies on you being successful the passion that goes into anything uh his passion that goes into surfing my passion in baseball your passion in acting nobody’s great at whatever they do without that passion
