Finally got the email that one of our group’s entries was selected for the Bandon 2027 lottery! We had all 8 of our group members enter for most seasons since they moved to a lottery and this was the first time any of us got selected. Received this email two plus weeks ago and took them until today to get to spot 900+ in line. The reservation agent on the phone said they select about 1,500 entries per reservation period so we were a little more than halfway down the list. Availability was still pretty good and we were able to snag 4 nights in mid May. Truly cannot wait to finally get out and experience Bandon!!

Be ready to answer all calls from 541 area code! They’ll have you book every single round while there on the phone at booking. Have a credit card ready for a heavy deposit too (have the boys ready with venmo). I got to go 2025 and got the call to go back 2026. Sad that they did not call me for the 3peat. Congrats amigo!
unsolicited advice but, I’d suggest getting in and staying in downtown Bandon the night prior to checking into the resort. 1) fun times with the locals 2) next day you can tee off super early and check in later maximizing golf
Congratulations!. Holding out for the June through October drawing. Though I have a feeling they give priority to bigger parties not just a twosome over four days.
Just finished my call with Bandon. They told me that 27,000 people entered the drawing for the April/May drawing, and confirmed that 1,500 were selected. The demand for Bandon is insane. I imagine the numbers are even higher for the summer and fall periods.
Congrats man, I’ve been to several golf resorts and Bandon is a clear head and shoulders above them all in terms of overall experience.

Damn, my app was not chosen now two years in a row for that time period. It’s my dad and my birthday in early April so it’s a dream to get out and play there.
Here’s hoping we hit the next lottery for 2028!

My group was there this past August. We bookended the trip with Shortys and Persevere. Highly recommend!
We got in right before the lottery started- went in 2024 and had an absolute blast! Congrats on the selection!
For those who don’t have a massive group: as a single who lives in OR, on weekdays I can just drive down and get a tee time without worrying most of the time. If all you want is to play 1-2 of the courses + The Preserve or Shorty’s and are willing to stay off property (there are good options in town), you can still make it happen.

Congrats! This was two weeks ago at Sheep Ranch for a little inspiration. I haven’t played many other high end courses, so I can’t say I have much to compare it to, but it’s hard for me to imagine that there’s a better overall golfing experience or vacation anywhere in the states. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have caught it with near perfect weather the four days I’ve been out there. Obviously a big factor but if you go looking forward to the full PNW experience the customer service, golf, dining, lodging, merch, etc are all top notch.
People really spend thousands and thousands of dollars on this??
Just got back from first ever trip to Bandon for first week of November. It was amazing, 3 days of gorgeous weather and 2 days of Bandon memory makers, lol. The whole resort was so cool, totally epic experience. Already have my name in for the lottery 2027.

There’s no way I’m dedicating that much effort into booking a tee time.
So I just heard about the lottery and entered for the two periods available. Do you guys have a quarterly calendar reminder to get the next submission in? Any idea when they open it?
Did I miss something? We called to book a tee time in April like a month ago. Never applied for anything
Went in April 3 years ago. Best time ever! It rained heavily every day, to where there were rivers flowing through the greens. Weather was cold in the 40’s. Even had hail on old Mac. Played 36 rounds every day and 45 on one of the days
Ok so I read all the comments and didn’t see one thing similar to my thought, so I’ll ask:
What’s the appeal?
I have heard of Bandon Dunes. Im sure it’s a great course. But its not Augusta, it’s not pebble, it’s not the old course. Why would you enter a lottery to play an overpriced resort course?
No disrespect to OP and others, glad you’re excited. Just not sure why this course is so appealing?
2 years waiting for this when links golf in the UK exists is wild.
