Jordan Smith Jr. Sets Visits To Kentucky And Arkansas, Louisville, Duke, And Indiana Involved!

Let’s talk some Jordan Smith Jr. updates. Cart, the fivestar guard has set two official visits. He’s going to Arkansas to meet with John Caliperry and his program September 20th. He’s going to Kentucky to meet with Mark Pope and his program. October 10th, those are the only two official visits that Jordan Smith Jr. has locked in. That’s per Duchon London from 247 Sports on the Report. Uh then simultaneously we’ve got a Typton update going through all of the biggest recruits in the class of 2026 uh and naming the latest in their recruitments. The latest per Joe Tipton with Jordan Smith. Uh everything that Tipton has heard up till this point is that Duke will be hard to beat. Duke is the only official visit that Jordan Smith Jr. has taken as we sit here today. But again, he’s going to Arkansas and he is going to Kentucky. Maybe just a three-h horsese race for Jordan Smith Jr. He’s still hearing from Syracuse, Louisville, Georgetown, and Indiana. Excuse me. All four of those schools could presumably get a visit down the line. But for now, we still got Duke, who insiders say is the team to beat, but Arkansas and Kentucky are getting a chance to beat them with official visits coming in the next two months. Does any of this surprise you? It doesn’t surprise me at all because I’ll say it right now and I’ll say it loud and proud and I don’t care who hears it. I’ll scream it from the mountain tops. I love Jordan Smith Jr. Great player, really good. I think defensively what he can do is two-way ability. Um, you know, there’s a lot of discussion between if it’s him or Caleb Holt as the best two-way prospect and player in this class. I think I give the edge to Jordan Smith Jr. and that’s with all due respect to Caleb Holt, who I love as well. Um, I just think that, you know, Jordan Smith Jr. brings so much to to the basketball court outside of what he can do offensively. And that’s not to say that he can’t do things offensively. I just think that how well-rounded he is as a player is something you don’t typically see at that age. Um, and for the unders sizeness that he is, because I believe he’s 6’2, at least he’s listed at 6’2. uh he’s got like this bulldog mentality that I think just helps him overcome that and and compete on both ends of the floor. So um you know it’s not surprising to see Duke mixed in here. But it’s funny though how things can change just because like you know Typton mentioned Duke being the affformentioned possible leader on this one just like a month ago like there was a lot of like Arkansas and coach Calb buzz. So, I still think there’s some twists and turns that this could take, but uh you know, you never could count out Duke as far as what uh what a prospect like that can do uh at that school. Does he feel like a Duke guy to you? I mean, that’s long been the rumor, but yeah. Why? I don’t have to answer that question. Yeah, you do. Do I? I’ll filibuster. What does this have to do with ghost? It’s not It’s not a ghost related term. It’s not What do you think filibuster means? Um, I mean like are you are you asking me why he seems more Duke than he does Kentucky Arkansas? Correct. Why is he a Duke guy to you and not a Kentucky guy? So, as far as Kentucky or let’s be real, it’s Duke guy, Kentucky guy, Cal guy, right? Those are three different types of guys. If you’re a recruit, you could be a Duke guy, a Kentucky guy, or a Calar guy. Which one is it? See, so I had if I had to rank it in order, the only reason I think he’s more of a Duke guy is because, and I I don’t know the best way to say this, I think there’s more of a team element to him than like do him offense. Like if I’m a I want to do, you know, get mine, get off guard, I think I want to go to Arkansas. If I want to, you know, have a father figure, I go play for Mark Pope. If I just want to be a two-way winner star type player, I think I go to Duke. Wouldn’t team Basketball beat Kentucky, though? I still think the fact that the reports are coming out that Duke is the team to beat, as he said, Kentucky and Arkansas visits is definitely something. The only one of these three I would be surprised if he ends up there at though is Arkansas. I feel like he definitely feels like an actual blueb blood Kentucky or Duke guy to me. And I don’t know, I I don’t think the whole Cal approach matches with what I think Jordan Smith Jr. is wired like in between the ears. Uh he gave a quote to I forget and I think this was like the Bleed Blue Network maybe. I saw it on Twitter a couple days ago but I screenshotted it. Um Mark Pope has been telling me I can come in make an impact immediately help them win a championship. He said I don’t have to worry about the transfer portal too much.
