I think I found something with my irons today.

Had been really inconsistent with my long irons recently, and kept overthinking everything with my attempts at fixes, and finally just blanked out every thought, let go of the tension and swung easy, and absolutely laced this one, and the ones after it.

Bet I’ll suck tomorrow though 😂

Easy and in play is always better than smashed, long and lost.

When you have it you feel like you’ll never lose it, and when you lose it you’ll feel like you’ll never get it back.

  4. I try and tell a buddy of mine, don’t over think when you’ve addressed the ball. If you spend more than 20-30 seconds staring at the ball before you hit it, you’re gonna have a bad shot
He normally takes between 30-40 seconds. Yes, I’ve timed him during lessons

  5. For a second I thought this was Wii Golf and a great shit post

  6. NewRaider

I found something and lost it within 2 holes.

    God speed

  7. Hope you didn’t enjoy hitting your driver because if you are like most of us that swing is gone now 😂

  8. Starting left of target with a draw can be a dangerous combo. It can turn into hooks and pushes pretty easily. I struggled with that all summer until I got lessons to not get steep in transition.

  9. Did you have any issues with the R10 reading distances out of the box? Did you have to do any preparations to make it work?

Whenever I hit a very good shot I always follow it up with “I figured it out”

Dumbest thing to ever say I just found something in my golf swing . Take that out on the the course and real fast you will say WTF lol it happens to all of us lol

  12. isthatabear

Sometimes I can’t even replicate a video of my swing that I performed the day before.

  13. SixtyNineFlavours

I do this maybe once or twice every 100 shots.

  14. steiner1031

You can’t say that out loud. The golf gods will not have it and will make you sorry for saying it.

“I think I found something with my irons today…”
Shot tracer shows one iron shot.
    Okay, buddy.

  16. ShotShelter7171

My Dad would always say to me, “ you’ve only found something if you can do it again tomorrow “

Playa played himself, shoulda just stayed quite 😂😂😂 I am sorry about your next few weeks friend, they are going to be frustrating. Best bet is to just text the wife you aren’t gunna be home for a few weeks and get a bed close to the bay, possibly a cot inside the bay itself.

I had one of those recently… everything clicked and I thought I had some kind of revelation… then I had the yips for 2+ weeks afterward.

  19. This sub has such a fear of long irons it’s hilarious. I learned how to swing using a 4 iron. The age old “that clubs hard to hit” is only said by those who have a bad swing. If you can find confidence in long irons, every club will be more consistent. Keep at it. Learn how to launch it high, launch it low, and how to take a little off. Nice work

I’d also like to note the traditional swing made hitting long irons a challenge, we grip it and rip it nowadays (hence your 230 yard 5 iron) keep on swinging!

I have never been able to aim my irons. Even when hitting a “straight” shot I was still never at my intended target. I used to try and align the club face while standing behind the target, aiming at a target in line with my target, alignment sticks, everything I could try. Well know what I never tried? Looking at my target while in my stance before I swung. Who would have thought that looking at your target would actually work?

  21. Call all your golf mates, tell them you found it, olay a round with them as soon as possible, shoot 100+ on the day

  22. And just like that his driving game, putting, and short game all just disappeared into the darkness.

  23. Worldly_Ad_2267

Haha yes you found something on the sim. Best part is none of that matters on the course. Cheers friend

  24. SwiftCodeCraft

These are the moments that keeps us coming back at it again and again

  25. flightgooden

Just a tad off center, get back to work /s

  26. Kagevjijon

That’s called a fairway. When you aim down the middle, you will likely end up in the fairway on the next hole over.
