After a delay due to poor internet while out of state, we finally were able to upload our golf course review video from our day at Belle Terre Country Club, Nov. 4th, 2025. One of only two Pete Dye-designed golf courses in all of Louisiana. We like the improvements on the course, but are confused about how ownership is operating the club, which makes it appear they do not want golfers. So, how’s it going everyone? Out here at Beltier Country Club today. It’s a gorgeous day. A little chilly, but so far I am impressed uh with a lot of the improvements. Look at this driving range. It looks beautiful. Nine green looks good. Two practice screens look good. You know, water’s clean. The the edges of the rocks look good. I don’t know how well you can see those practice screens behind me. Going to take a few putts, but really excited to be out here. Been trying to get out here for a few months. Uh course looks great from where I’m standing. They’ve done a lot of improvements over the past year. So, let’s go check it out and have some fun. Oh, no. No, no, no. fell off. I might get away with that. Hey, rough looks good. Greens look good. that are a little bumpy in some areas. Go right. The other right. Oh, it’s not that fast. So, take here on 18 at man, this course has come a long way since last time I was here. Fairways are really good. Greens are rolling good. They kind of look worse than they are. Got some bare spots. A little bumpy, but the speed’s pretty good. T- box is uh pretty good so far. Beautiful day. Oh, that’s horrible. All right, finally get to test out a bunker here. And not the best uh stance. Does feel kind of hard like clay. It wasn’t much fun under the last. Yeah, it seems wet. I don’t know if it’s from the sprinklers. It shouldn’t have had any rain recently, but damper than the bunker I was in. Little shortsided, too. Not too bad, but it is a little hard packed. As you can see, some some areas of brown, a little bumpy, but huge improvement from last time we were here. Yeah, it’s just they’re still rolling really good. They they like I said, they look better than last time I was here. So, uh some of this could just be some cold lack of rain. Turn, turn, turn. Slow down. Good speed from back there. Huh? Tell you what those guys got. Good putt. Good birdie. Hit it. They’re not that quick. Hey. Oh, get lucky. Great shot. You know what I was doing. Oh, wow. Cut in there. Cut. Cut. Cut. Nope. So worried about the fringe on that one. Oo. All right, everyone. We’re done here at Beltare. Uh, course is in really good condition, minus a a few little things. Greens were slightly bumpy, but not horrible. They had a decent speed to them. Rough was good. Fairways were pretty good. A little thin in some areas, some crab grass. But considering from last time I was out here and all the improvements they’re making, they’re moving in the right direction. for $45, $50, whatever, it’s it’s worth it. The greens were consistent from hole to hole. The fairways were consistent. T- boxes were pretty good. Even though some of them were slanted a little bit, but they’re not too drastic. Uh I don’t use a TE on a par 3s. I was able to just drop the ball and and hit well. So, you know, all in all, uh really impressed with the improvements they’re making, the progress they’re making. However, I will say this. So, we went to go get a drink at the turn and for some reason all the lights are off in the clubhouse. We thought it was closed. It’s actually not. So, I don’t know what’s going on with that. It’s a bad look. You know, if you want golfers to come in and spend money, clubhouse has to look open. You know, lights are on in the pro shop. But, uh, yeah. All in all, good experience out here. It was a beautiful day. Everything was pretty good. Like I said, very consistent from hole to hole. So, come on and check it out.
