what do these numbers say about my swing with new driver? i was averaging 240-250 carry this one being the best. i had less fade than i'm normally used to and pulled it more than usual. i know i likely have relatively slower club head speed and I am coming from a M2 50g Stiff to g430 Max 55g Stiff.

Slow relative to what? You’re like 10mph faster than the average male amateur.

Numbers look good to me, 1.5 smash is perfect isn’t it?

That is not a slow clubhead speed

So smash factor is just ball speed divided by club head speed. It’s essentially a measure of how good of a strike you put on the ball. 1.5 is a perfect smash factor. Current club regulations limit manufacturers to a smash of 1.5. The closer you hit it out of the center of the face, the closer that smash is to 1.5.

Regarding speed, a good rule of thumb is that 2.5 times your club head speed is right around the max carry you can expect for a good strike with optimal launch conditions (launch angle, spin, etc). You are dead on as far as this metric goes. Based on my understanding of the numbers with this club you are leaving little to nothing on the table as far as distance goes. The question then becomes, how often are you producing numbers like this with this club? In the dispersion good or would another build help mitigate some of your misses?

As far as what this says about your swing, impossible to say from numbers for 1 strike, especially a perfect one.

I’m not a fitter but those numbers would surely mean you need a lower loft head

If that 3K spin was more like 2K spin i bet you’d be carrying another 10-20y

Spin is too high. I have a similar swing speed and ball speed as yours (104.6 club, 156 ball) and I hit one with 2300 spin that carried 273 and rolled out to almost 300. And by the way your swing speed (and mine) is definitely much higher than male amateur average so it’s not a how-hard-you-swing problem

Spin causes the ball to rise/lift, and for driver if it keeps rising then it’ll basically keep climbing up but not go as much forward

Maybe had to do with technique and where on the clubface you strike the ball. You create a lot of sidespin but the face (5.2 degrees closed) and path (5.5 outside in) matches up relatively well, which usually suggests low sidespin and thus a straight shot. With the driver I’m guessing you might’ve hit it off the heel which could cause sidespin to the right and losing distance

Pretty sure it has more to do with the heavier shaft that ur putting on.

Also, all of the numbers look good. 1.53 smash factor is the best for driver, so ur 1.5 is perfect.

The slight concerning number is just the the spin. Ideally u want it hover around the low 2000s. Thats prolly what’s losing u the most distance if i were to guess
