It’s simply the worst move an executive has made in sports in a hundred years. It’s hard to argue and quotes after the fact if the trade itself didn’t fully do him in, they did him in. The Dallas Mavericks have the third best defense in the NBA, but they have the 29th best offense. So it doesn’t matter because in professional basketball the most important thing in the league is what Luca provides offense. Now to win a championship you also need defense but you cannot they it was they built a team around Luca’s skill set and then they didn’t have Luca anymore and the team immediately falls apart. I also don’t give him a pass on out of the injuries. No. The moment you trade Luca, Kyrie played 40 minutes a game for a month cuz he’s the only creator. He gets hurt. You trade for Anthony Davis whose biggest knock is his injury history. He’s played 14 Anthony Davis 14 out of 44 possible games. Wait, and by the way, you now have to consider trading him. What this guy’s hubris or ego or own basketball malfunction in his brain did to Mavs fans is one of the saddest things I’ve seen in recent in in sports. Sad is what I mean.

It is without question the worst trade in American professional sports history. Just inexplicable.
Nope. Whomever was the General manager of the Minnesota Vikings back in 1989, who gave up all of those draft picks to the Dallas Cowboys for Herschel Walker.
And thwre were people defending the trade ( gilbert arenas)
Already forgot about the Watson deal?
maybe Luka would not have got in shape. He got to comfortable in Dallas.
How did they get lucky getting Luka? They traded for him, it's not like he fell into their laps.
I hated the cavs ownership when they traded Kyrie to Boston so I understand Dallas fans a lil bit. But even that does not compare to what Nico did.
Nick Right
He's just the scapegoat for the collusion to get the #1 pick in the draft.
I just don't believe for a second that the owners weren't behind this. I really think Nico is the fall guy.
Signing deshawn, Micah or Luka, who you talking about
Tom Greens hair is getting long
Omg davis playing 14 out of 40 games is amazing lmaooo
Dumont made the call, Nico took the fall.
It was rigged by the nba to keep the lakers relevant for the next decade.
I believe Nico was either paid or forced by the League make the Lakers Great again. A commissioner once said he dream finals would be the Lakers vs the Lakers.
The dumbest thing is r hat literally Luka and Kyrie had just took that team to the Fibals the season before, and just ran into a ridiculously stacked Celtics team. So there was no reason to even make such a drastic move like that, they were one piece away smh
If they beat Minessota – a top defensive team and then reach the NBA finals with Luka, and now you telling me Luka is the problem. Oh Nico Nico you have gone insane.
He sold shoes was his previous experience, what did you expect?
Luka has been my favorite athlete since 2021. Living in LA. When that news hit my phone it was an out of body feeling and I got very emotional filled with happiness and disbelief. Whenever I have a bad day I think to when Luka came to LA. And I knew I got to watch this hall of fame point guard play basketball for the next 10+ years. Madness!
We cooked
Come on he was told to offload luka by the owner , Niko awnsered to the owner who signs off on the deals . The owner didnt want to pay the max . Stupid thing was trading for Davis made of glass .
Billy king trading for kg and paul Pierce for the picks that would become jaylen brown and jayson tatum is worse on paper, but the psychological damage of trading luka can not be understated.
Well threatening to fire Phil Jackson from the Bulls publicly… but then again, at least that didn't break up the team. At least MJ and the crew, a core that 3-peat twice stayed after Phil left.
He hates Slavs. Simple enough
Thank You Nick!!!
IIIYYYYYYAAAAAAAANDDDDDD
It’s potentially the worst trade of all time. Luka and Lakers still have to deliver rings. I can argue and say the Paul George SGA trade is worse because of the championship and MvP season. OKC has a great chance to win multiple.
Cap nico the goat!! We love you nico thank you!! You made kobe proud my guy!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹-lakers fans
Nico Harrison would trade Giannis Wemby Jokic for three second round pick
even 2k player would be better GM than this dumb 😂
Lol, the shots of AD with the most street clothes street clothes ever is next level trolling 😂
He got a long nose 😢😮😅
Hoping Flagg jumps ship ASAP otherwise he’ll waste his career at that team
Defense doesnt win championships, good offensive teams who buy in defensively win championships.
The issue is not the trade; they can trade him any time they want. The issue is what they got in return!!!!!! and what they got was not enough!
