WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women’s golf team has released its 2026 spring schedule, which features five tournaments in four different states. Of the five tournaments on the slate, the Hoyas will return to a quartet of tournaments they played in during the 2025 spring season and make a return to one after a one-year hiatus.
ABOUT THE SCHEDULE
Georgetown opens the spring slate at the Daniel Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston on March 2 and 3. The two-day tournament at the Daniel Island Club in South Carolina will be a return to the Lowcountry as the Hoyas competed in this same tournament a season ago. Current captain Georgia Ruffolo took the top spot in 2025 with a 3-over 219 (71-71-77) to tie for 23rd overall as the Hoyas placed 10th. Gabriella Eifrig and Catherine Qiu also competed as the second and fifth Hoyas on the leaderboard, respectively.
Just a few weeks later, the Blue & Gray will head to the City of Oaks Collegiate, hosted by NC State on March 23 and 24. The Wolfpack will play host at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina. This will be the second-consecutive season the Hoyas will compete at the City of Oaks Collegiate, as GU took eighth place in 2025. Ruffolo carded a 3-over 219 (76-70-73) to tie for third place overall fueled by 12 birdies and 29 pars. Qiu and Eifrig took the third and fourth spots on the Hoya leaderboard, respectively.
The Hoyas will spend April 5-6 close to home at the Terps Invitational in College Park, Maryland. In last year’s tournament, the Hoyas moved up four spots on the final day to take third place in the tournament led by Eifrig moving up 14 spots on the final day with a 1-under 71 in the final round for a three-round score of 3-over 219 (73-75-71) to tie for 11th. Ruffolo and Qiu were second and fourth, respectively, on the Hoya leaderboard.
On April 11-12, Georgetown will make its return to the Rutgers Invitational for the first time since the 2023-24 season. The Hoyas finished fourth in 2024 with former Hoya Megan Gormley taking the top spot finishing second at 5-over 218 (78-70-70). Ruffolo was also part of the Hoya lineup at that tournament, taking the third spot on the Hoya leaderboard.
The Blue & Gray will open postseason action at the 2026 BIG EAST Championship at the Callawassie Island Golf Club in Okatie, South Carolina. The Hoyas have finished as runners-up in the last four championships. At last year’s championship, Gormley and Eifrig shared top honors for the Hoyas, both tying for fifth at 8-over 224 on the course at Riverton Pointe in Hardeeville, South Carolina. The last time the Blue & Gray competed at Callawassie was in 2024 when the Hoyas took second place. Ruffolo is the lone Hoya who has played Callawassie as a collegiate athlete, tying for third at even 216 (74-69-73) in 2024.
