The Golf Foundation has announced a new partnership with Kitround, a pioneering online platform that helps sports clubs and charities raise funds through the sale of pre-loved and surplus kit.

Together, they’ll be giving golf equipment and apparel a second life – and helping more young people get into golf in the process.

The initiative will see the Golf Foundation and Kitround sell clothing, merchandise and equipment donated by supporters across the golf community, with a percentage of all sales going directly to support the charity’s work introducing young people to golf and teaching mental wellbeing through the game.

The partnership marks the start of a wider plan to host ‘kitdrops’ at golf clubs across the UK, encouraging players, clubs, and partners to donate their spare kit and make a tangible difference. Discussions are already underway with key Golf Foundation partners, and others to expand the initiative and create a movement of golf for good.

“We’re always looking for creative ways to make golf more sustainable, inclusive and impactful,” said Lewis Jones, Head of Commercial at the Golf Foundation. “By partnering with kitround, we’re able to turn unused golf gear into opportunities for young people – opening more doors to the sport while supporting mental wellbeing through our Unleash Your Drive programme.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Golf Foundation on this exciting initiative,” said Adam Stevens, co-Founder of Kitround. “Our mission is to make it easy for organisations to raise money and reduce waste through kit recycling. Golf has a fantastic community spirit, and this project is a perfect example of using that energy to give back.”

The first phase of sales is live now here, with all proceeds helping to fund the Golf Foundation’s programmes in schools, communities, and golf clubs nationwide.
