The mistake people make is they’ve been told to go down towards the ball. And then what happens is Kev, come to this side. Look what that does to the spine. Crunches the heck out of it right here. It promotes the reverse pivot. I want you going around your spine. See that? That’s the money move right there. The shoulder is going to just feel like the hands go right down that line. Now, here’s the key. That That’s the key. You feel that? If this were here, watch. Nice turn to the top. You feel that? Yeah. That’s Yeah. That’s That’s it right there.

👍 thank you 👍
👏👍💯
Astute
Great move⛳️👍
I have asked at least 6 PGA instructors this question and this is the very first time I got the correct answer. If you don't subscribe to Porazk Golf you are missing the best online instruction. Same goes for Athletic Motion Golf.
I was always taught to basically feel like your trail shoulder is getting pulled back. Would you agree with that? Seems pretty close to what you’re talking about here.
People just think they’ll magically get the flexibility to follow through an ideal swing
Couldn’t that promote an inside takeaway? And in that scenario would that be a poor hinge?
You go around the spine of the back swing but the shoulders pivot upwards hit the ball powerfully.
If you go round on the following through, you're gonna be pulling or pushing spraying shots everywhere.
Poor teaching.
Only down to p2
This is another Gold nugget from Porzack golf ! The reverse pivot part was right on the money.
Thank you,
Opens up the swing.
Along with hip bump only way to get lead shoulder over trail foot.
Just like you've been saying to do.
Exact opposite for stack and tilt
I always do that and thought I was doing it wrong..
Its a combination of the two
Great swing coach promoting the essential basics of swing mechanics. Key phrase … "You feel that ?" ….. body has to be placed into correct positions so the student can lock in the sensation and begin to build "proper" muscle memory. Only criticism is that he doesn't define reverse pivot and why it's so devastating to the swing. If your head and shoulders are tilted toward the target you have to move away from the target as you bring the club down to impact …..and you lose a lot of power and consistency coming through the impact zone.
Swing your swing fucken DA. The best right now is NOT swinging this BS stuff
I’ll ignore major champion Tom Watson then
Will someone show me a tour pro with a flat shoulder turn ?
YouTube golf instruction at its finest
I just started going down to the ball and have been hitting worst shots of life- now I know why 😂😂
Your lessons are so damn good!!!
Everybody has something different to say…😂😂😂😂😂
Completely a weak move. Per Mike Austin.
Don’t agree with this guy at all- not correct
Just have Fun….If not playing competitive golf…..
Spent so long firing that shoulder down..bad info ever..this is the only guy I trust for info👍
I also don't agree with this guy. Crunching the spine. Lol
Left shoulder down is key for stack and tilt…no reverse pivot as all the weight stays on the left side….do what works for you

See you next month at Kiawah.
Bit of a novel here, but this has literally changed my life. I was a pretty good player when i was younger, played some mini tour events and tried to take a run at it. Got away from golf, came back later in life. Then i got in a really bad car accident and spent a year and a half just trying to learn to walk right again. I've been trying to get back to golf but it's been frustrating. I can shoot anything from a 65 to an 80, and I've been having a lot of back pain and no distance. But I've tried this move and I'm literally hitting it better than i ever did when i was 22. If i can physically keep it together, I'm gonna try to play some senior events in a few years when i qualify. Thank you so much.
Thank you the other method did not feel good at all.
Have not been a fan of that 'tilt down' move some teach. This makes a lot more sense to this sports fan to 'rotate around the spine' instead of tilting down towards the ball.
Then your club is sq to the target very short time in the swing
