Hey guys, working on a golf sim in my garage and my electrician measured out where the projector mount should be and got that all set but I think it’s way too close. There’s a couple pics for you to see, you can see the square cutout in the roof for the projector mount he has set up, I measured it out 10ft exactly from the back wall. I ordered some stuff online and it suggested with the Epson CO-w01 to be 15.5 ft. What do you think, is 10ft way too close? Thanks!

The distance from projector to screen is going to be relative to the projector lens and the screen size.
I use projector central, put in your projector and your screen size it will tell you the distances based on the zoom capacity of the lens.

So you’ll want about ~12” between your impact screen and the wall… so itll really be 9ft away from the screen.
That projector has a throw ratio between 1.2 and 1.7. Using the equation…. Distance away = throw ratio * screen width. With a 9ft distance, your screen width will be 5.6-7.5ft wide.
Is that what you want? If not, move it backward. Use the equation above to figure out the distance. (Id also use the average throw ratio of 1.45 so that you still have some
adjustability)
