another beautiful day on the island of maui hawaii the plantation course at kapalua’s second round action of the century tournament of champions phil mickelson on the attack at the 10th he would set up a look at birdie which would move him to seven under par adeki matsuyama we pick him up looking for a share of the lead and he drops that one in matsuyama from 19 feet on the move as well past winter here sander shafley looking for birdie to get to six under that’s in at 11 from 16 feet away shockley’s last win coming here in 2019 daniel berger was without his clubs to start the week they showed up a couple of days after he did and he’s certainly showing up on the scorecard beautiful play into four as he would make that for eagle to get to eight under now brooks kepca kepca looking for birdie at seven and that one he drains from 39 feet away to get to nine under par cameron smith our first day leader but he opened round two with back-to-back bogeys how do you get well after that slow start you make eagle from off the green at five a 36 footer going in to get to eight under par john rom now just in front of nine and a beautiful shot zips it to a stop right next to the cup and rom would have a tap in the decki matsuyama his second into 13. another terrific shot dancing all around the flag and that would be an easy putt to get to nine under cameron smith at 10. looking to grab a share of the lead and he drops that one in just a coasting putt into the cup xander schofley at 18 looking to finish on a high note shoply bottom of the first page and he adds one with a beautiful hole out from 33 yards as he makes the eagle to get to 10 under now to chambeaux playing his fourth off the green he was in a jam after a poor tee shot but he made up for it right here 63 yards in for a four you hear the fans they loved it nice highlight from bryson patrick catley now at 16 our reigning fedex cup champion a four-time winner this past season and good work at 16 he would set himself up for birdie and move it to 16 under daniel berger for eagle at 15. left to right reed and he’s got it 13 under goes the winner at pebble beach this past season our first day leader looking to be our leader at the halfway point birdie and 18 as he would take it to 17 under and up by three heading to the weekend thanks for watching the pga tour on youtube to watch another video click here and to subscribe click here

2022 kicks off in Hawaii at the Sentry Tournament of Champions with 38 of the 39 PGA TOUR winners from the 2021 calendar year teeing it up. Harris English looks to become the first person to successfully defend his title at the tournament since Geoff Ogilvy in 2009 and 2010. World No. 2 Collin Morikawa has a chance to overtake Jon Rahm for the top spot in the Official World Golf Rankings but the Spaniard will be hoping to keep his accolade as he returns to action for the first time since the Fortinet Championship. Xander Schauffele, who won the event in 2019, is in the field thanks to his gold-medal performance in Tokyo Olympics last summer. Other winners of the tournament who are teeing it up again include Justin Thomas (2017 & 2020), Jordan Spieth (2016) and Patrick Reed (2015). Meanwhile, the likes of Cameron Davis, Garrick Higgo and K.H. Lee will make their maiden appearances on the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort after becoming first-time PGA TOUR winners last year.
