Okay, we’ve got a really exciting video for you here today. We are in the Philippines. It is roasting hot. We’re at Sent Alina Golf Club and I’m here with the Brian Bros. So, which way do you want to start? Do you want to start with the big dogs and work down or do you want to start at the wedges and the putters and work up? Let’s start Let’s start with the wedges. the probably most exciting clubs in our bag because BB-83 Tacoma wedges um our collaboration with Tacoma to kind of like co- produce a wedge like with Wesley and I’s input their expertise and yeah built something really amazing honestly um it’s helped like I was like how can these wedges you know they’re not like the traditional Tylus uh Cleveland whatever can like can they do tour level wedges and they have like my wedge game actually has gotten better especially around the greens um and we got some custom grinding on there as well. Yeah. and then the full face uh grooves um because I live on the toe. Uh so yeah, so it’s been cool because they look good, they perform well, and they’re um at a price point where it’s like very affordable. So yeah, I mean it’s the most affordable wedge on the market. Um and so we were excited to make something that was very accessible uh to everybody uh no matter if they’re going to go buy a new wedge, there’s no reason for them to um go elsewhere because of price point. And so we got the name uh BB’s obviously for Brian Bros. 803 is is the area code where we’re from in South Carolina. So, uh that’s pretty special. And must be pretty cool to see your name, you know, or initials at least on a on a wedge that you guys have helped input, right? Yeah. No, it’s probably it’s probably like a two-year process of like them like saying, “Hey, how’s this look? How’s this look?” And um giving feedback back and forth because then you you think, “Oh, you sure they’re going to listen to our input, but are they really?” Because the end of the day, it’s their decision. And so, it was cool that they took our feedback and like we actually worked together on producing something which was that we’re proud of. Um, so yeah, it was a pretty surreal moment when we like set them set up to them, had them in our hands like wow, it actually happened. Uh, so yeah, shouted you guys at Tacomao for uh making this dream come true. And in terms of your setups, you I can see you both got 58. Do you both go 5450 after that or Yep. Wait, I thought you were 50. I thought you were 55 and 52. Well, I was Well, I was 58, 56, 50. Oh, the more you know. I had no idea. Then I went to honestly I just ended up with a 54. Don’t really know how or why, but that was the first one that was sent trial and error. No, no, I just that’s that’s the one that came to me. They had all of them and this is the one I started messing around with and so just adjusted my yardages a little bit and now in a 54. Awesome. And and what shafts are you guys playing in those at the moment? Uh currently some nipon modus, but when you see these next Well, no, the wedges going to be same. Oh, George, I’m just saying I’m going to be tinkering. You’re going to tinker. You’re going to have him in the bag for He’s trying out these new graphite shafts that Jason Day is playing. Yeah. Jason Day was like not sponsored by him. He’s like, “Graphite shafts are the future.” I’m said, “Say less. I like the way you hit it.” The KBS TGIS. Uh, is that what you’re looking at? Yeah. Yeah. See? Okay. I’ve been there. I’ve tested some of Odas. So, uh, um, I’m excited. No, but so the I got the nippons. I go standard S400. Had those. Yep. Have those in my wedges since I was a kid, basically. So, familiar. Y. Awesome. And then sticking with Tacomao throughout the irons here. Yeah. By the looks of him. Talk us a bit about these and why you love these so much. Uh 301’s uh throughout the bag for me. No, they’re just a classic st like they’re not too bladyy. They’re not too like game improvement either. Like a perfect blend of like it’s like a muscle cavity, right? Yeah. I need a lot of help. Honestly, I’ve gotten I’ve hit it worse and worse the older I’ve gotten. Um and so it but it still I like looking at blades are like, you know, a smaller profile and these are a good blend of like not too big, not too small. Um, and they produce pretty well. Like, you know, Wesley when he switched when he was on the PJ tour, he was like top five in like strokes gained or just proximity to the hole with irons. And so, that shows you like, hey, just because they’re a direct to consumer, like you can still they can still perform at a tour level. Absolutely. And you know, you guys wouldn’t have them in play this week if you didn’t believe that, right? And and honestly, I’ve I’ve played all irons and I’ve said for years that irons don’t matter. Um, and and I still will say that the brand of iron doesn’t matter. I feel like they’re all the same. Um, and again, Tacoma, they’ve been an unbelievable brand to work with and they’ve produced an iron that is just as competitive as a Titus or Tailor Made or Cobra or whatever Srixon iron. Um, and I’ve played all of those irons throughout my career and I I didn’t notice any difference as soon as I switched to the Tacoma. And again, for like half half of the price or a third of the price from some of those that are on the market, uh it made it a no-brainer for us to go and say, “Hey, do you want to play what we’re playing?” Um if you’re in the market for new irons, this makes the most sense possible. Awesome. And so it gets it gets interesting for me in the four irons. That’s the first thing I’ve noticed here. And so, um I’ve got So I I guess I’ll start with a Tacoma one. This is a 4 iron that’s bent to a 5iron. It’s wildly oversized. It’s the 101U. and it’s got the loft of a 5iron, but this is the club that I feel more comfortable flighting it down. Makes absolutely no sense. Don’t ask me how or why that ended up. And it’s got a completely different shaft in it. Don’t even know what this is. It’s uh it’s some mid X100 something or another that I think is lighter than the rest of them. But this was built up in uh Napa a few years ago and uh unbel probably my favorite club. It’s the jack of all trades. I can hit it high, low, left, or right. It goes anywhere from 190 to 230 um depending on how I want to hit it. And then this 4 iron has been in the bag for years and years and years and years. And I haven’t found one that goes as high and as far as this one can go. Just hits your window. You know what you you know what you’re getting. It’s if I need it to go 230 and straight up in the air, I pretty much can do that. And so these clubs, they go like really close to the same diff distance. But uh the five iron is is the one that I shot shape and work more. The four iron is just the standard. if I got 225 to 235 and got to hit it high and hit it soft. And so this club is going to be hard to get out of the bag because it’s like I said, it’s a unicorn. And you said you had, you know, a different shaft completely in that kind of utility makeshift five iron. What shafts are you playing in the rest of your irons at the moment? Uh the the regular issue X100 X100. I don’t know what this mid. So you can tell me. You’re the whatever. We’re going to forget about that. You can tell me what’s the difference in that and what the regular X100. You’re a You’re a techie guru. It would just be from a kickpoint standpoint. Oh, yeah. Kick Yeah, kick point. Yeah. Yeah, I know all about kick points. So So is that why it goes lower? So what would make it go lower based on the kick point? So it’s slightly stiffer tip section. So interestingly, I’m not sure why this actually goes lower because in all honesty, you’ve got a lot of weight in the bottom here. The CG is lower and therefore it should pop higher. Oh no, it makes perfect sense. Anytime. So yeah, it makes sense that it goes lower, right? if it makes sense. So, anybody that’s built a club for me, so once we get to the driver, you’ll understand any anytime I get a golf lesson, if I do what an instructor tells me to do, I hit it terrible. If I do the complete opposite, I’ll hit it good. Same thing with equipment in my golf bag. If someone says cause and effect, do this. It’ll produce X. It’ll produce the opposite. The complete opposite of X for me. So, at least you know what you’re asking for then. So, you could go in and just go, I need, you know, the highest launching product out there. And, you know, yeah, it’s going to go low. It’s perfect for links, right? Exactly. Exactly. And how about you, George? What what iron shafts have you got in those? Um, you don’t know. No, I got thin. Kind of moving on from nipon as well. Yeah, I’ve have all those the the modus. Uh, don’t know why. Apparently, they were good, but then club said, “I don’t know how those work for you.” So, I’m like, “Huh, I don’t know. Do they work?” And so, now he’s in the the market for a shaft he’s never hit before. And he’s super excited about it. No, but they do. I go more on feels and they do feel good in like the waiting and when I do hit it well um it does what I want it to do. Yeah. Um but I couldn’t tell you why. Just go off the numbers, go off the ball flight. I think more people should do that to be honest. I mean I’m just really old school and like and I honestly don’t my brain doesn’t work in data. Like I need someone to tell me why and I just hit it and kind of like kind of figure it out. And to be fair, most people watching this, they can really like and appreciate the technology, but at the end of the day, there’s no substitute for the hours that you actually need to spend hitting it. And so, it’s it’s more of just like telling your buddies what you got in it and and gaining knowledge, but applying that knowledge is again, for guys at our level, it’s still obsolete at your level. I’m like, no, don’t put yourself down, George. No, we’re both Asian tour players this week. Yeah. Same event. Yeah. Heck yeah. So then I can see you’ve got a hybrid in the bag here. Yeah, we got three hybrid. Um, we got the Cobra DS adapt bit of lead tape on there as well. I don’t know if it’s in the right spot, but I needed it. It was a little too light, so I just put a little to make it uh but no, it’s like a 250 240 club. Okay. Um, and definitely just a one one trick pony. Like it really just does what does what it needs to do. It’s the same every time. Yeah. It’s like a full two. It has a mind of its own. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. This one right here, CSR3. Nice. This is a 19 degree. And uh this club has had some really, really good days and good shots in it. It’s also got some really bad ones. Okay. Um I would say as of late, it has a real tendency to go left. Uh probably my doing, but uh I like it just it’s it’s a higher launch, lower spin. Okay. Um which you would think that would be good off TE’s, but when I hit it off TE’s, I miss fairways. And when I hit it into greens, I usually hit good shots. So nice. Uh, does what it needs to do. It’s Yeah, it’s probably a mental block that I have whenever I plop it down onto a T- box. So, it’s interesting because we’ve talked a lot about hybrids dying out on tour and stuff recently at work and to see both you guys with hybrids in the bag. Have you experimented much with driving irons or lofted fairway woods or That’s a That’s a sore subject. We’re also the older guys in the field now. We we we’ve we’re kind of the old school of the bunch. It’s a bunch of young guys out here now that hit two iron straight up in the air and then they’ve all gone to seven woods for some reason and I can’t quite figure that one out. Yeah, I mean I hit the shot in Bermuda last year. I was in I was I was searching I didn’t I needed like a hybrid or I love the driving yard and I’d hit this top into a into a hospitality tent. Yeah. Literally into a coffee stand. And from that moment I said never again. That was enough scarring. Oh yeah. No more driving irons for George. No, I like that. He needs to get the ball airborne. Yeah. Back to the basics. Uh 3-wood. No reason to talk about it. This is the worst club in my bag. Don’t even know why it’s in there. Uh will literally never hit it unless I absolutely have to. Okay. Um it has the ability to go all sorts of directions and trajectories, but one out of two or one out of three. No. No. No reason to talk about it. Well, just just No. One out of two or one out of three is unbelievable. But this thing this thing there’s a reason. It looks brand new. Okay. It’s been in the bag. It’s been in the bag for You just said you not talk about it. You just talked a minute about it. Let’s go to the driver. Wait, talk about your 3-wood. You’ve got the Tops and Skies with it. We’re leaving it under there. That’s staying in the in the cover. No, it’s fine. What which one do you even have? Is it a Callaway? Yes, the uh it’s the Rogue. I got the Elite, by the way. Old one. And I thought you might actually move on to driver cuz you’ve played you played the Rogue Probably three years and it was great. Johnny uh wonder fit me into a great hit a lot of fairways. just had a little too much spin of late and and the older I’ve gotten, I’ve wanted to hit it further for whatever reason. Yeah. Um and so messed around with uh this the blue board and put it that in the Rogue and and it knocked a little spin off. I was hitting it good. I was like, man, I I want to search. And so like just tried a bunch of drivers out and uh this tile said it went it took my driver from got the T or the GT3 spin numbers. Let’s talk about spin numbers, George. I mean like my the Callaway was 28 to 3100 like consistently like on a good one was 28 and now this one is like the highend spin is 25 26 and down to like 23. So, I mean, I’ve picked up a little bit of ball speed, but I mean, probably 10 to 15 yards just on, you know, getting that spin. And have you noticed like the launch is still kind of the same or is it a touch lower or? Again, this one does fade a little more than the other one, but again, my left miss really it’s more of a it’s a more powerful fade with this Tylus one than the the Galloway one was a little weak. Did you have an eight degree in in the Rogue as well or I think I did. It was nine. It was nineuh turned down to a Okay. Or nine and a half to an eight and a half. playing the same. No, this I mean, yeah. So, it’s been fun, but um I’m actually like lowkey. Tacomao just released their new driver that we’ve been messing around with and like probably this offse I mean offseason like I’m a tournament player anymore, but this this winter like do some experimenting. But no, this one’s been I mean it’s taken a lot of spin off and like I think elevated my driving. Um you done talking about it yet? No, I love my driver. Loves it. Loves it. this right here. Um, again, this is one of those, uh, for years and years I searched for a driver because I was the worst driver on the PGA Tour for about five, six straight years. Okay? And again, I I hit it short, really, really crooked. Um, and then every everyone kept telling me go either shorter driver, heavier shaft, um, lower launch, like that all the things to try and get you to hit it straight. And I ended up going with the lightest, stiffest shaft on the market and started to try and hit it as high as possible. Okay, nice. Because I had the full-blown driver. Yep. And I was like, I can’t I can’t play golf any like if I keep playing golf like this, I’m going to quit. Like there’s just it wasn’t fun. It gets you committing though, right? If you if you have to Yes. I said I said I want the lightest shaft possible just so at least I can feel like I’m in control of it because I I feel like I was losing the club head um and just not really feeling anything and I’d make what felt like decent swings and look up and it would be in all sorts of windows. And so I said, “Give me the lightest stiffest possible and let’s just try it.” Uh Jason from our Mitsubishi guy, he goes, “There’s no way this is going to work.” And same thing with the guys at Callaway, there’s like no way it’s going to work. I said, “Perfect. That means it’s going to work.” Exactly. That means it’s going to work. So then anyway, started launching it at 16 17° and he’s a cheat code right now. And then picked up a lot of I probably picked up 20 30 yards uh pretty much overnight. I know. Um so you got a 50 TX in there for the guys watching. It’s 50 TX very light obviously very stiff as well. the GT da on a GT. I would say just recently did a 65 gram shaft become popular on tour because mostly it was at 70 gram like 70 to 72 gram was very standard on tour for and this one is I think at 51 g. So um yeah it’s considerably lighter and uh and you got the triple diamond max. So you’ve got that kind of low spin head but you still got the profile of kind of the standard head as well. So, yep. So, we just uh the Paradigm uh a couple models ago, I guess, is the one that got me out of the driver yet phase. And then they built up uh basically a replica of that head with the AI smoke. And so, this is where we’re at now. But again, the Tacoma driver is is coming with vengeance. It’ll be fun to mess around with. Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing your guys testing. I’m going to have to try and get my hands on one as well, just to do my own testing. So, then the putter. Let’s go to putters. DF3. Uh little Brian Bros. It’s a lab collab. Lab collab head covers. Yeah, a lab. Yeah, a code lab. So, it’s fun. You know, this is uh looks cool. Um so, yeah. But anyway, we got the DF3. Um we got the TPT shaft, forward press grip. Yep. It’s built. It’s been same. Same. Uh literally the only thing different about ours is his is one degree or two degrees flatter. And then, uh I got the line that goes all the way across. Awesome. Yeah. And how did how did you guys kind of end up in in the labs? Were you just intrigued by everyone else using them? Yeah. No, like again, we’re, you know, we’re we’re willing to try a lot of things. It’s like, hey, what like we’ve heard a lot about it. Let’s try it. We were like, let’s like if the the hype is real, like if I don’t improves my putter, like, you know? Um, and I think again the level the level out here of like, you know, this pro golfers, is it going to help them that much? Maybe not. But what I found is like I don’t have to practice as much and I and I still start my ball in line more often which again for me I don’t know like that that was big and so I feel like it has improved that. But again I was always a decent putter. Um so was it going to help a whole lot? Probably not. But would it again I don’t practice as much as I used to. I’m still able to like for the most part day in day out hit my start lines. Um and it’s cool and like yeah it just feels good off the blade. like it’s the it’s the most solid consistent feeling even when you mis hit it. Did you guys experiment with the other lab models or were you kind of just straight into the touched them all? Touched them all. But it took but again I’ll be honest it took me a while to get used to it and that’s what like Sam was like stop trying to like conform to the putter. Let the like let it conform to you. Yeah. No, you just you got that backwards. Yeah. Um you conform to the putter. Yeah. Um but no, it was cool because again I wasn’t an overnight thing, you I was a blade like Yeah. And but again once I did I’m like I can see why like the sauce in it because I just realized did you do this whole thing with a glove on? Yeah. Dedication. Yeah. No, always just what I do. Well, thank you so much, George. Thank you for joining us today. Where’s Thank you. Good luck this week, guys. You forgot the biggest the biggest part. Look, we got the shoeies on our bag. I mean, I spoke about these off camera. How much I love them. I don’t even know what they are. Some guy just say, “You want to wear everyone everyone on tour is going to have these soon.” I mean, and they’re the No, no. Everybody on tour, they have those big gaudy golf bags and uh and so standsag ridiculous. I was like, got our logos on them. They’re very cool. I’m I’m secretly jealous. So, yeah. Awesome. Cool. Thank you very much, guys. Thank you. Thank you. We’ll see you next time. See you. See you.

Custom grinding aka you guys can’t get that done 😂
Love BB & wanted their wedges but Takomo hates left handers.
Where can you get those little shoes on the bottom of their bag leg stands??
Bye Wesley's 3 wood, bye!
Bryan bros are just cool cats!! Love how down to earth they are👊👊
Good evening Gentlemen. It's Sunday evening and I'm just back from a tough tough round at FFGC. What a joy to sit down and catch up with the BB's.
These were one of the first YouTube golfers I found after coming back to golf. Real fan
Literally no idea.
I like to watch both George and Wesley. Wesley's treatment by the PGA is obscene and shouldn't have been allowed but alas they seem to be a law unto themselves. For me takomo irons are much the same as others to an extent. I can go to a fitter in the UK and try out a plethora of irons, sadly takomo are not one of them. I reckon I would rather try before I buy and of course get fitted by a decent fitter who can see my quirks in my swing and adapt irons to that. I may have paid £1200 for a set of Taylormade Irons but I am confident that they were fitted to me and I can use them sometimes very well. Until takomo are pushed through the pro fitters they offer a niche here in the UK, which is probably a shame
Why cant I buy those takomo bags, they look so nice !
