James Morrison spoke to the media following his win in the Rolex Grand Final supported by the R&A, the final event of the HotelPlanner Tour season. His win secured him a spot on the DP World Tour, and he was asked the following questions:
– How do you feel in this moment?
– What was the rollercoaster of emotions like this week?
– How much are you looking forward to going back to the DP World Tour?
actually got no clue to be honest. Um, when I said this was going to be my last event, that was going to be my last event 100% and this is completely messed up. So, um, I don’t know. I’m glad it’s over with. Put it that way. No, I played nicely all week. um didn’t play as well today, but kind of managed my emotions dug into my memory bank and all my wins on the DP World Tour and just kind of the wind blowing really helped me today cuz I knew the harder it got the more it play into my hands a little bit and I knew that if I keep ticking along I can kind of get away from the field a little bit. Obviously if it’s flat calm guys are going to be coming from backwards but um had a three putt par at the first and and but stayed calm and stayed with it and um swing at the last couldn’t for my arms I went so far right but um five or six the last really couldn’t care less winter win you’re back on the DP world tour how much are you looking forward to getting back out there got no clue haven’t got a tour bag haven’t got a caddy I’ I’d have to figure some stuff out but um but thanks massive thanks to the guys at Nike Golf Julian Robin and um been with 15 years now and they’ve been there from the start. So really appreciate it. You mentioned you don’t have a caddy. You had one this week. Finley’s been right there with you all the way along. Just a word for how good he’s been on the bag and what that’s meant to you. He’s got half past 6 alarm for school tomorrow morning. But no, he’s amazing. Love him. He just so good.
