Kai Trump, granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, failed to make the cut on Friday at The Annika tournament, which marked her professional debut on the LPGA Tour in the United States, finishing in last place with a total of 158 strokes (83–75), 18 over par.

The 18-year-old, who already sat at the bottom of the 108-player field after opening with an 83 on Thursday, remained in last place following Friday’s second round.

She carded a 75 that included four birdies—her first of the tournament—along with a triple bogey, a double bogey, and four bogeys.

Kai Trump is competing as an amateur and received a sponsor exemption to play in the event, held through Sunday at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

Although Donald Trump was not present for her debut, Kai said her grandfather—an avid golf enthusiast—advised her to relax, enjoy the moment, and not let nerves get the best of her.

She admitted after the opening round that she struggled to follow that guidance. Kai also noted that she received advice from golfer Tiger Woods, her mother Vanessa Trump’s current partner, who encouraged her to “let go and have fun.”

The tournament is currently led by Sweden’s Linn Grant and Australia’s Grace Kim, both at 131 strokes (-9). Jennifer Kupcho and South Korea’s Haeran Ryu share second place at eight under.

Spain’s Carlota Ciganda posted an impressive five-under-par second round and sits at six under overall, just three shots off the lead.
