is this a 3” driver extension?

Hi all,

After stripping the grips from all of my clubs I noticed my driver shaft has what seems to be a 3” extension. the shaft has a hallmark of (ZL Wilson, WL 928, 44”). mind you, all of my clubs are second hand so i have no idea about who owned it before.

my questions are:
1) is this actually an exaggerated shaft extension? i’ve only ever seen 1.5” at max on websites
2) would this be the best time to bring all my second hand grip-stripped clubs to get sized for me? (super amateur, still haven’t recorded a handicap but will be golfing more this year)

if the pro shops would take my clubs, i’ll inquire about how much extra to finish the gripping job with the bag of grips that i already have.

i was looking forward to doing the whole job myself but i remember seeing a video talking about amateurs should get fitted or something along those lines.
