Madinaty Golf Club has been named the Best Golf Course in Egypt for the fifth consecutive year and the Best Golf Course in Africa for the third year in a row at the prestigious World Golf Awards.

Omar Hisham Talaat, Chief Business Development Officer at Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), which developed the club, said the achievement reflects the group’s continuous efforts to build world-class sports clubs with state-of-the-art facilities.

“Winning both the Best Golf Course in Egypt and Best Golf Course in Africa awards reinforces Madinaty Golf Club’s reputation as a premier global destination for golf enthusiasts,” Talaat said in a statement. “It also strengthens Egypt’s position on the map of international sports tourism by attracting global tournaments and top professional golfers.”

The club recently hosted the Egyptian Open Golf Championship 2025, which took place from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1.

Josh North, General Manager of Madinaty Golf Club, said that securing the Best Golf Course in Africa title for the third consecutive year was a “significant milestone,” especially given that the continent is home to over a thousand golf courses.

North added that Madinaty Golf Club has also been nominated in the “World’s Best Clubhouse” category, an unprecedented achievement for an Egyptian or African club.

Designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. and managed by Troon, Madinaty Golf Club features an 18-hole championship course spread over 420,000 square metres, in addition to a 9-hole FootGolf course.
