278. If he’s dragged it a little, if he carries that front bunker, get up to the back of the green. Come in. Come in. Oh, this is wonderful. Yo. Hello. Hello. We’ve got a two on five from Maddie Fitzpatrick. Very easy swing, wasn’t it? Whatever it was. 130 yds. Win up the right. It’s a give for him. Absolute give. It was a lovely iron shot, wasn’t it? Quite a soft landing for Lorie Caner, but he’s still got a good look at Eagle as he he has. You know, looking very good when he’s been upon them as well with the putter. Just a wedge. Almost like a remote control golf ball that perfect to the first and our leader Nikolai Hoyar to remain at 12 under par. And that is just his second bogey of the week. Don’t be too brave Troll. 170. Could only be as little as an eight iron. Maybe not an easy one to lay dead here for a man who’s surging through the field today. 400 for his round. A couple of birdies and an eagle. Another chance for one here. And he’s done exactly that. Beautifully judged across the surface. Tommy, one of the most improved parts of his game. Oh, he doesn’t let us down there. He was irritated by you there, Paul. Having a pop at him not make very nicely done. Wow, that will please him. Ball below his feet. Needing the height to get the carry up the hill at seven and gets it. Golf shot called. Tommy Fleetwood. Oh, stay up. Yeah, stay there. You deserve Oh, slow putt up and out of his left. Terrell Hatton to move to 10 under. Very nicely done. So he still remember has a chance to win the race to Dubai. Here it goes. It’s four under through seven holes for the Englishman. Pretty on his own at the top at minus 12. That’ll bring tears to your eyes. Yeah. Three over through the first six holes. Rory from that green side bunker up the tier. Oh, he’s thrown it all the way. How about that? Did that kiss off the flag stick? I think it did. Well down below the level of the green Rory just past the hole. So for a four, that’s important, Paul. Yeah, it is. Absolutely. That was a beautiful putt. That wasn’t easy. This is green light from Tommy. You even have the luxury to bring this a little bit off the ride. Exactly like this cuz it slopes away from the right hand side of the green towards a hole. Decided not to make the trip. Still sort of nsing the neck injury. Yeah, that’s nicely done for Fleetwood. Get to one back of the lead. has a birdie part of the 15th to tie Caner for the lead. Now the dilemma is for you know the Hoy guard’s parents. Who do they go and follow? And very nearly makes an eagle three. And he has a chance to join the leaders. And he does climb to 12 under alongside Raasmos Hoya and Lorie Caner. Surely Mfat Fitzpatrick is going to tidy up here. And indeed he does. That’s it. Six under for the day. Just a poke with a seven iron with the elevation change. Can’t hit eight. Will stall in the air. So this could be by a little unless he gets cute with it. That’ll do it. That’s brilliant. Absolutely. It was brilliant. You could see the ball flight going against the sky there, Wayne. From just over 70 yards, Tommy in the rough. It’s a very tight angle from here. Going to clip a wedge. Try and get a little action on it. He judged that beautifully. He did in the end. Still get it to feed out, but just the right amount. Norin to join the party at the top. Has it got enough speed now? He had the line. All right. Oh, he did. Yes. That’s why. Don’t smile. If you don’t smile, it looks like he meant it. Tommy, I have to say he’s the hottest player in the game at the moment. Just about catching it. Alan Tammy uh Aalyora has a chance to move clear of the others at 12 under and the 21-year-old rookie Spaniard leads the DP World Tour Championship. Getting distracted and losing concentration. So just backing off there to gather himself to cozy it up to the hole. Make sure of his four and then he’s done that. Good putt there. Good judgment of speed. Little bit of left to right up the hill and then right to left whole side, I do believe. There we go. He needed something like that, didn’t he? Nikolai Hoyer. Yeah. Well done, Nikolai. That’s important. That’s good. Keep fighting. Good spot here for Maroy. Skipped bit of check. Easy work. Should be. You called it, Nick. That’s exactly what he did. More on the march. It’s back to back from him. Up to 18. Fitzpatrick from the sand has to get up and down for par. That’s a good shot. A short of a top class professional water just behind them. Not phased by that at all. There’s a very strong Danish challenge. At the top we have Rasmus Higgar, twin brother Nikolai and Rasmus Snar Patterson who does make his birdie at 14. This would move him into the top 10. And importantly only three off the lead. Now he’s two off the lead. Well done. He’s certainly a factor tomorrow. A lot of Ryder Cup players are populating the top of that leaderboard. Uhoh. Oh, how is your luck? He is. I’ll tell you what. He is one of the shots of the day right there. Carol Hatton. Shame about the finish. A lot of good golf there today from Ayora and it means we have an eightway tie at the top of the leaderboard in the closing stages of this third round of the DP World Tour Championship. He’s down there long enough to float with the water, but he can spin it from here. Pretty straightforward shot. Should make three. There’s the advantage right there. He’s third in Greens are fairways hit today. And finally, someone breaks clear at the top and it is Raasmus Narison. What a wonderful stroke that was, wasn’t it? Brilliant. That count as a bonus, you think? Well, that was a bonus cuz he was moaning about the wind direction that he was giving off the T. Expect the wind to nudge it in there towards the hole, but It’s good. It was aggressive. No surprises there. Three birdies in the last five holes for Rory Maroy. There’s a third round 68. And the race to Dubai leader moves to the top once again at the DP World Tour Championship. It’s a fine effort and it is a round of 68 that started slightly nervously with a drop shot at the first. Lot of good stuff in there though. Lot of sensible golf. And look at that. Just one shot separates the top eight players on the leaderboard. Rory, thanks so much for joining us. One under path through 13, three under for the last five. Just give us your overall assessment of the day. Yeah. Um, I got off to a good start. I hit uh two great shots into the first, two great shots into the second. I missed a I don’t know two and a half three-footer on two um three putted that and I feel after that um I sort of let that affect me a little bit on especially on the greens for the next few holes but um stayed really patient give myself plenty of opportunities didn’t didn’t hold that much but you know I I knew you know there was a few chances coming in it was nice to take advantage of those uh 14 15 and 18 so um overall like a a bit of a battling day the conditions were were tricky enough um but but happy to to shoot the score that I did. Terrell Hatton shot a score today that puts him in a position to get the win that he needs to challenge you at the top of the race to Dubai. I know you’ll be focused on winning the championship, but will that be in your mind at all that seventh one? No. Um you know, I’m I’m in a better position than him. Um no. I I’m focused on myself if you know if I go out and play the golf that I know that I’m capable of, especially around this golf course. Um, you know, I I know that’ll that I’ll be okay. You’ve told us already this is the greatest year of your golfing life. Obviously with the win at the masters, the Grand Slam achievement, the Ryder Cup, etc. What would it mean to ake with a seventh race the Dubai Championship and a fourth DP World Tour Championship? Yeah, it would look it would be an amazing way to to end the season. Um, you know, I knew coming out here for these two weeks, Abu Dhabi, last week and this week, I I needed to play well. Uh Marco wasn’t that far behind. Uh obviously Tier wasn’t that far behind. So I knew I needed to come out here, played well. Um you know, I I played well when I needed to last week, especially at the weekend. And you know, I’ve put myself in in position to to try to get another win here. So um yeah, really pleased with, you know, I I certainly could have coasted into these couple of weeks and, you know, um enjoyed myself, but um the race to Dubai is important to me. Uh, and it’s important to me to try to get a little bit closer to to Monty and um, you know, as as I said, I’ve put myself in a great position to to go and do that tomorrow. Really appreciate your time, Roy. Thanks. Cheers. Thank you. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

  1. The question asked to Rory about Hatton, and Rory's answer, exposes his heart to himself. The disdain was evident. The pedestal you've created for yourself should not cause you to look down on others. You're accomplishments should not be an excuse to look down on others. It'll all catch up to you, bud. In golf, it's only the golfer with the lowest accumulated score that wins, not the best man. No man is greater than another.

  2. They are treated like gods in the Middle East….and the players embrace it and look like they are having fun …..the PGA tour looks so stale in comparison….👏👏👏

  3. Euro leaderboards are mostly free from guys who get hot, come from nowhere, and quickly fade into obscurity.
    It's great to watch

  4. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi les commentateurs français pensent à une finale entre Rory et Tyrel Hatton. Les Danois sont en très grande forme , sans oublier Tommy. Rory doit rester précis pour gagner parce que les concurrents jouent bien . Go Rory!!!

  5. Yess, another Spaniard emerges to complete the armada. There can be only two. A master, and an apprentice.

  6. Leaderboard is basically Ryder Cup team plus a few future Ryder Cuppers. Anyone remember the “Rory will lack motivation now” media nonsense after The Masters?

  7. The american tour may give out more money but the European tour is far more exciting and exemplifies true talent

  8. Best shot of my life was a 5 iron from 187 to 7 feet, made the putt for eagle. 2nd hole Balboa Golf Course San Diego, CA
