HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS — Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren joined the gallery to watch their son Charlie Woods play the Florida 1A State Championship on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Mission Resort + Club.

Charlie Woods is the top seed for Benjamin School’s boys golf team, which is looking to win its fifth Florida state championship and first since 2023, when Charlie was a freshman.

Woods and Nordegren both cheered from the gallery with a group of fellow Benjamin School supporters, who were talking, smiling and largely in good spirits with the Bucs firmly in contention for a state title.

The Buccaneers are the No. 1 seed in Class 1A, according to the Florida High School Athletic Association’s iWanamaker rankings.

Last year, Tiger was in attendance as Benjamin nearly overcame a first-day deficit, finishing second in the state championship behind rival and neighbor Oxbridge Academy.

He also joined the gallery over the summer for several of his son’s junior golf tournaments, witnessing a hole-in-one at Florida’s 108th Amateur Championship in June.
