Six hole 195 today. Pin deeper into the green up that left hand side. Caused a few problems this one yesterday. Much easier pin today. I think we’re going to see a lot of good shots into Right. This is interesting. Goodness me. It looked like he made pretty good contact. Oh, he made unbelievable contact from that from the mulch down the right hand side at two. We saw the T- shot from Hatton. Solid shot from Thrill. Yeah, there we go. That’s how you make two. Decent iron shot. Decent look. This will be some up and down coming from the mulch on the right hand side of that second green. He looked a little bit frustrated on the greens yesterday. Bobby Mack. There we go. That’s a bit more like it. Goodness me. Just see the very top of Carol Hatton’s head. That was a lovely shot out that front right hand bunker. Not a bad position to be in. Loads of green to aim at on this angle. The best we’ve seen so far. That’s nicely done. Nicely done. You would have been paying attention to how Raasmus balls got down to that part of the green. It looks like here Grant is taking a little bit more of a left route than everyone else. This has got a good chance. Hello. Hello. Starting with a 30 35 footer with a massive break on the first Grand Forest. Kubra found a par five into 14. I like the look of this guy, Nico. What do you think? Have you played much with him? Yeah. You know, the one thing that stands out with him is he’s eager to learn. I’ve spent a lot of times with him this year and and it’s not unlike it’s not like the the previous French generations before. Good signature. Justin Rose at the par 34. short flag. Remember, it’s a small target, but if you hit a good shot, there’s a good chance that it will be this close. Up to the green this time, Shane Lowry. Little bit of left to right in this one for the Irishman. First half of this pretty slow. This is tracking. Shane Larry with a long one up the first. Yeah, 130 probably a hard sandwich. What a cough swing. He’s got Let’s see if he can take advantage of a huge drive. Little bit of back spin. Excellent. Yeah, play there from Nikolai. He can only three better shots than that. Doesn’t look like a whole lot of loft on the club face there from the big hitting high guard. So, four perfect shots to open up his round. And now we have five. What a start from the Dane. He cannot have played those first two holes any better than he has. Problems off the tea at the eighth for McIntyre, but a chance there for him to make his part. Justin Rose has reached the fifth hole, a shortish par four at just over 400 yardds. Normally a strength of his game, but uh he certainly led the putts yesterday. Good putting there as well from uh Pedain. What a start from him. Birdie Eagle. Yeah. To tie the lead at the fifth. Of course, as always in golf, it’s from a similar distance. the one he just missed. Makes that one though. What a start from Rose. He’s coming out firing as well too. He’s 300 under as you can see. But now Tong Lee is coming to the end of his round. He’s got a putt for Eagle at 18. He’s enjoyed himself out there today and he’s finished it in style. Very nice. That’s as good as he could do. I mean, that’s an excellent shot, but Rory had nothing out of that bunker. Amazing shot to get it to here. And he still makes birdie rows from distance at number six. Oh, stop. That is ridiculous of Justin Rose. Double breaker right to left at the start and then it’ll peel back from the left in the second half. Go on. Oh, an eagle three for Tommy Fleetwood. And he leapfrogs Rose and Hygar and moves to the top of the leaderboard. Judas me up in the stratosphere. That’s a That’s a pretty good effort. Miss more greens in regulation the first four holes than he did in the whole of round one. into out of the right the green bailing him out again. It’s nice to play a shot like this into the wind. Driving it low. Perfect weight. And Nikolai slightly off the right. Nice pass. Nice cut. He’s won here before. He’s got the perfect DNA for this golf course. Nikolai, just a wedge or so for Sullivan up the hill. Always takes a crown with him. Sully, very popular player. Yeah, ideally you sort of want to hold it against that breeze, get it spinning on that down slope, which it does. Think that probably slightly closer than that. That’s fantastic chip bruises, man. Yeah, that was as good as it gets, wasn’t it? Just bruised the ground. No divot. just having a wedge into this nine which is the longest bar four on the whole golf course. It doesn’t matter. Doesn’t matter. He can do no wrong out there at the moment, can he? What a front line that is. He’s gone to the turn in 30 as Nikolai Hygar deserves something out of his round. Makes it hard to keep a good man down. It looked like he chopped it up well and he has chopped it up to 5T. And to nine and the birdie putt for Mroy. What a view from behind. What a great three that is at nine for Rory. 1 million Skyward miles up for grabs for a hole in one here at the 13th. Let’s see if Raasmus Pison is going to be upgrading himself. Not sure you can go any further. What’s that? Three inches from going straight in. Another chance. Just needs a little bit more pace I think which he’s got. Sometimes it can be the difference. It straightens up the ths. Just ran through the green at 12 after a good second for Dan Hillier. Played that nicely. Oh, straight in the middle. Middle stump. Nick. Yeah, just as well the stump was there as well. Rose’s coming from the rough, albeit a good lie, still adds the challenge for what is a tight flag here. And there is the joy of finding the fairway from the tea. It does set up a wonderful opportunity. And he’s just gone birdie eagle at 13 and 14. See if he can keep it just a little left of that. Looks pretty good. Oh yes. He’s fighting a pull with the irons, but the driver’s been okay because he can hit it really hard. It’s harder to do that when you’re trying to massage shots into to greens with irons, but the driver, it’ll behave when you give it a full whack. Kind of irons out floors. Playing with Hiker Dan Hillier. This is to move to nine under par. Oh, lovely. That was traveling, wasn’t it? Seventh birdie today. Quite good. Quite good. That was brilliant. Really was brilliant. I think he likes it. Spot on. Well done. It’s just a little bit of a glimpse in the importance of a really good caddy. Tight angle to this flag cut on the left hand side. Has to keep it right of it. Just nip it. Keep the height. All about the strike here. that he made that look really easy, but it it wasn’t. He’s normally good at this. Squeezing it under the wind. Watch the sauna off finish. There you go. Driving it in low. Look how far over his right shoulder has gone. It’s right up his alley that kind of shot there going up in the blinks courses of Ireland. It’s a shot. It is playing the toughest hole on the course number 16. But that’s a beauty from Michael Kim. Paparan around a 65 and who knows maybe a three-shot lead heading into the weekend. Bogey free as well out there today. Nikolai Hoyard. Hey, would you stand still? Have some of that. The finesse. Tell you what, Jimenez would have also done would also probably get away with that. He’s brilliant with those. Absolutely brilliant. He’s an artist now in the greens. And that is an incredible round of golf. That is a hard working round of 69 for Mroy all day. All day it has been like that I’m afraid for Tommy Flintwood a car the last and a round of 71. So Fleetwood at 8 four shots off the lead. Thank you so much for joining us. You won this championship in 2023 and narrowly missed out on qualifying last year. How good does it feel to be back? It’s great to be back. Uh it’s one of my favorite favorite tournaments and favorite courses to play. So, um it’s good to be back this year in a little bit of form and um yeah, just happy happy to be here. Seven under 65 today. What do you feel you did particularly well? Uh staying really patient again. Uh yesterday was a really good round. I felt like I actually might have played a little bit better today. Um but yeah, just staying patient. I know there’s plenty of chances out there. And um but it’s easy to get make a silly bogey out of being a little bit too aggressive. So trying to trying to navigate my way out there a little bit. So um staying patient has probably been the highlight so far. 46 under par for 12 rounds played here. That’s tremendous golf. What is it about this place then that brings the best out of you? Um, I think I it suits my eye. Like you you talk about golf course that suits your eye. I really like it off the tea. Um, I feel like it’s a it’s a precision golf course as well. It’s a mix of driver down to a four iron. Um, and it plays into my strength which is mid irons. So um, it’s just a really good fit for me and um, yeah, played some good golf again. So hopefully we can keep it up. Great playing so far. Wish you luck over the weekend. Thanks. Thanks. To watch another DP World Tour video, click here. And to subscribe, click here.
