MJ Maguire thoughts after day 3 (61 shots) in Link Hong Kong Open
MJ bogey free 61 today. Excellent scoring this Saturday afternoon. Your assessment on what was an outstanding round of golf? Yeah, thank you. Yeah, it all kind of kicked off on 11. Uh hold out the second shot. Had some tree trouble. Was thinking about going over the trees, decided to go back to the eight iron, hit a little punchy eight iron, rolled in like a putt. You know, I was just happy to get that on the green and to see it drop was kind of the kickstarter into the back nine and then was able to make a few more birdies in a row and yeah, it was a great day all around. Yeah, you had a couple of birdie opportunities coming in which just slipped by. How key were those backto-back birdies on 17 and 18 to end the round. Yeah. Yeah. I felt like I was, you know, given the whole a run a lot on the back nine and then to see a couple drop in the last two was was good. Get some momentum going in tomorrow. Yeah. A lot to play for, a lot on the line come Sunday. You’ve got a national open, another international series title, but spots in the Masters and the Open Championship. How are you going to sleep tonight? Yeah, you know, just do the same. try and, you know, get a good routine and go to bed early. But, uh, yeah, I mean, definitely a lot to play for.
